This review is from: First Steps Toward Teaching the Reggio Way (Paperback)
This book basically describes different contributors' experiences with attempting the Reggio Emilia approach. I had the idea that the book was going to tell me how to take the "First Steps Toward Teaching the Reggio Way," however, it was more of a diary about other people's experiences. More like reflections than advice. There were some chapters at the beginning describing the approach, but nothing that any common journal article wouldn't cover. I would consider this book useful for someone who is quite familiar with the approach and is looking for additional reading, but not for someone who is looking to begin to implement the strategies and is looking for a resource guide.

This book was used in my curriculum class in ECE. I love the Reggio philosophy and this book offers excellent examples that have been used in the classroom. A very good resource for preschool teachers.
