Norm Douglas: First Time,

The first time I heard this CD I knew that I had to buy it. I was walking in a mall and Norm Douglas was there in person playing his CD. After listening to 3 tracks the third (I Can Do It) being my favorite. YOu can just feel the music coming through you. This is not a normal "jazz" cd. This is actually a really good "new jazz" CD. If you buy this CD you need to buy some Yellowjackets and Simon Phillips to get a taste of new jazz. I can't wait until Norm puts out the Second time. Oh Norm if you read this you can use that name with my permission.

I was visiting California on a buisness trip when I heard Norm Douglas performing live. I normally do not just buy Cd's spur of the moment but I just could not stop myself. He was playing in the evening and it seemed great dinner music. Most of the jazz I listen to is from the 20's but this CD is just as good as the clasic jazz.
