My 14 month old loves them!
Janessa Gonzalez
These are not thin, flimsy flashcards, they are more like thick cardboard and the packaging is great.

Great for kids learning their first words and identifying the objects on the card.

I have a 2 1/2 year old who is very verbal. She really enjoyed these cards though some of the questions on the back of the cards are a little advanced for her...there is definately room for growth in this toy. We also bought the my first words touch and feel cards and these are great cards for the 2-4 year old section of kiddos. I teach special ed students ages 0-5 and I can make these cards and the my first words cards adaptable for all the different ability levels.

We purchased these in the 4 for 3 special along with shapes, animals and first words for our 19 month old son. He was immediately interested and now will try and get the cards off the shelf by himself. We go over a few cards each day and the textures are great, allowing us to linger on one card a bit longer while we describe and go over it. There are also tips and tricks for parents and suggestions for questions to ask your child on the back of each card.

These are not thin, flimsy flashcards, they are more like thick cardboard and the packaging is great. They come in a sturdy box with a flap closure that keeps everything nice and tidy. Our son loves these and so far they are holding up great to all that loving!

My 15 month old daughter loves these cards. We have the complete set of Animals, numbers, colors, etc. She pulls them out daily and looks at them. She brings them to me so that I can teach her what the picture is telling her. They are sturdy under toddler feet, and in toddler hands. A wonderful product from the great publisher of DK. I recommend them over all other cards for this age group (and believe me I looked for an alternative).

I purchased all four sets of the DK "My First Touch & Feel Picture Cards" for my 17 month old and this one is my least favorite. It does not have as many cards you can "feel" as the other sets. The "Things that Go" set also does not have many cards you can "feel" something on. My favorite is the "First Words" set. It has large pictures with a lot of touch and feel. My son's favorite card in this set is a piece of toast with sticky jelly. His face is priceless when he touches it!

I really love these cards because they can grow with your kids. Right now, my son loves to look and feel the pictures on the cards and identify what is on each card. As he grows, we can incorporate the questions/activities on the back of each card and learn the Spanish and French translations. They really are an all-in-one learning activity you can do with your kids.

I feel like this is false advertising because really only one of the cards has something that is actually different feeling then the plastic on it and that is the bunny card and it doesn't even have a very big touch n feel area. If I could go back I would not purchase these again.

These flash cards are the best! They are large and relatively thick, so they are easy for my 15-month-old daughter to hold. They stand up to some pretty rough treatment. The images look like what they are supposed to be depicting (unlike some flash cards). The cards are colorful and attractive, and my daughter actually asks my husband and I to play with her using these cards--if she can see them on the shelf or counter, then she'll point and act excited. Very cute. At this stage, she is not really counting, so she focuses on identifying the pictures rather than counting, but I'm sure the cards will also help when she starts counting. All in all, though, these are beautifully designed cards that we use every day.

We purchased this for our 2-year-old daughter. She knows her alphabet and is very curious about numbers when she sees them, so we want to teach her about numbers and counting, which I'd never realized is a whole "concept" unto itself. These cards not only show "1 doll", "2 rabbits", etc, but they illustrate the concepts of pairs (of socks/shoes), lots of something, none of something, and then illustrate counting on two other cards that show the numbers of things increasing as the numbers go up. I can't imagine a better way to teach a child the concept of counting and what numbers represent. So, not only are they a great teaching tool, but my daughter loves them!

These cards are well worth the investment! Small price to pay for a high quality product. The materials used to create these cards is durable to withstand my 18mo. old. They keep her attention and she asks for more:o)The colors are great, the visual images are true to the actual object. The suggestions on the back of each individual card are a nice bonus=D Each card has a specific texture relative to the word for children to feel. Don't hesitate these truly are awesome cards! Numbers 1-10.
