Soulful Introspection,

I love this song. Although I've been a fan of Imogene Heap for a couple of years now I recognize she does not always appeal to the mainstream. Ever so often however she produces a song that speaks to a larger audience and I think this song falls into that category. I love the melody but I especially like the words. A love that hasn't worked out, the need to fly away and start to living her life again. I really like the metaphor chorus, what matters to me doesn't matter to you, what matters to you doesn't matter to me. Good stuff.Keep doing this Imogene.

Imogen Heap has always been one of those diamonds that has quitely vuilt up a sort-of-manistream following. She has a vocal style that has progressively changed as she has put out albums, too, reminding me of what people do when they try out different styles of insturmentation. What tis has led to is nothing short of beautiful and, honestly, it has produced some really memorable trackws.Ellipse spawned quite a few singles and, in my opinion, this happens to be one of the best. From the way the singing stands to the way the beat plays through, it seems to capture something within the music. It has a touch of the mainstream inside it but it stil has a taste that is its own, allowing it to be itself and still appeal to a large audience. In fact, the whole of the album could be said to feel this way, appealing and still standing on its own. This is a 5/5 track in and of itself and I think it is indicative of the whole set-up, allowing you to feel what everything is about here. Great stuff and then some.
