The story is told through the eyes of Clara, a girl of a mere thirteen in Victorian times. Clara and her sister, Sarah, have a new stepmother, Julia -- stern and mysterious. With the crack of a cane, both girls are thrown into a world of sexual perversity. Sarah, bent to and held fast, is forced to receive the copious incestuous spendings of her older brother. Soon after, beneath the watchful eye of her new Mother, Clara's virginity is parted under the crushing weight of her own Father. The girls' emotions are divided, for while the acts are morally abhorent, their Mother is a stern disciplinarian over the men as well, pulling them back from the summit with stokes of the cane and thus prolonging the acts for hours on end, driving the girls to the very brink of insanity with excitement. The little girls repeatedly succomb to their urgings, offering their libations to the two men. The ministrations of their Mother are not wasted, as the girls soon embrace the "training", becoming Mistresses in their own right. This book, like all those published by Blue Moon, is a tour d'force of erotic writing. The descriptions are not only mesmerizingly vivid, but dozens of pages in length each. The story is equally captivating, but I won't spoil it here. This book is a must for fans of Lolita stories.

Incredibly hot Victorian erotica!! If you have a thing for dominant women, this is the book for you! Deals with the typical victorian erotic elements in all their glory (young girls, incest, domination, decadence, etc.). The narrator, a girl of 15 or 16, is taught by her mother how to be sexually dominant with the men in her life... starting with her immediate family members. If you enjoy erotica and/or victorian style erotica, this books is about 70-80% one handed reading! Worth the trouble to find a copy IMHO

Much time is spent introducing and developing characters. Unfortunately, one of the main characters, Clara, who is the youngest, all of a sudden turns into a seasoned prodigy (yea right) so she stands around and watches for 150 pages. Not that the other characters are without merit, but Clara comes up short (no pun intended). Now that Clara has fully arrived and is almost as astute as her step mother Mistress in the "art" we spend time to fill the book with chance encounters with various strangers who go through the same training and sexual exercises that everyone else in the household did. Clara's sister Sarah is perhaps the most emotional of the bunch and even though her character is secondary, her episodes and encounters and emotions seem more realistic. The book is a fast read, but then again it was a short book. It is written from a victorian time and the language used is sometimes hard to follow but in a way that made it more time-appropriate. If you can get past the fact that the players are mostly realted to each other (father-daughter, brother-sister, sister-sister) stuff like that, it is written quite well with good descriptions of the action and emotions in play. I would recommed it for the writing and because it was only $7.

One of the most erotic books I have ever read and re-read and re-read ..... The book deals with a young Clara who is taken under the wing, among other parts, of her stepmother, Julia, who teachers her about the finer things of life starting with a seduction that is probably one of the best written EVER. Young Clara's sister, Sarah, may not be the apt and willing pupil to the deliciousness of eroticism as Clara was, but, the challenge of the seduction is the juice of the story .... As in much of victorian erotica lits best, daddy gets very much involved in the erotic sex scenes and so does the foppish Robert, the brother of the group ... It's a Blue Moon series book and absolutely one of their best ..... A MUST HAVE for our erotic lit library .....

I read "First Training" quite a few years ago and was incredibly impressed, well lets not use euphemisms "First Training" turned me on more than any other book, though "Beatrice" and "Eveline" came close.

Whoever the author was, they were blessed with a intensely erotic turn of and a skill for description that means the vignettes will stay with you.

Though Clara is the narrator of the book, my favorite character is Sarah. The indignities she experiences and her gradual corruption will either horrify you or arouse you to such an extent that they will become part of your own internal fantasy life. The is no middle ground. Personally I'm in the latter group.

If you love the country house style of Erotica this is a must.

This is Victorian erotica at its finest. The writing is eloquently vivid; the scenarios mesmerizing in their "stinging" sensuality. A very 'hot' read for mature adults only.

i never thought i would be into erotica but this book gets you revved up. nuff said.
