If your child is a fan of the other My First Word books, this is a definite must have.

Featuring the photographs that make the other board books in the series so appealing, this one adds flaps which always manage to capture my toddler's attention. Included in such groups as food and animals, the photos are also used to teach such concepts as tall and short, inside and outside.

My only wish is that the publisher would come out with a second Lift the flap board book!

This book is wonderful. My child absolutly adores this book. It is perfect for teaching him about animals. I highly recomend it for anyone with young chidlren.

My twin toddlers have always loved both photo-illustrated books and lift-the-flap books, so this was a no-brainer purchase. The breadth of learning opportunities make this book a real winner: counting, colors, shapes, opposites, and matching are all in here on top of the vocabulary boost. It holds my kiddos' attention for several minutes when "reading" alone, and provides lots of discussion when we look at it together. Another stellar offering from DK!

This is one of the few books that I don't mind reading to the kids over and over again. There are so many different things to discover under the durable flaps. The photos make the items easily identifiable.
