Baby loves them!,

I purchased these flash cards for my 14 month old baby, since she loves looking at books and pictures. The cards are nice quality, with bright images, and she actually sits and points to the images and waits for me to tell her the words. She will do this for about 20 minutes at a time, which is amazing to me for an energetic toddler. I would give them more stars, but some of the images are difficult to understand because of the quality of the illustrations. They are grainy and a bit amature looking -- the pumpkin and some others just don't really work. These would get 5 stars in my book if the illustrations were a little cleaner, or they used actual photographs of the items. But they are nice and the price is great.

Flimsy First Word Flashcards,

So, I bought these cards for my 18 month old who has a similar set she really enjoys. I am pretty disappointed with these. The cards are similar in weight and texture to regular playing cards. They can be easily bent, ripped and just all around destroyed. On the other hand, the pictures are cute and the words are clearly written. They may be appropriate for an older child, but definitely not my 18 month old.

These flash cards are great for the price. They are flimsy and easily bent, so you have to control them but they are still helping my 18-month old daughter. The pictures keep her focused and now she's starting to point at the pictures.

Not really happy with those cards,

Even if there are cheap I think those cards are not really worth it.
I would prefer pictures instead of drawing, who by the way are not really good. The selection of words is sometimes weird, for example there are the circle, the square and the heart and that all for the shapes; there is the girl but not the boy; the egg but not the chicken...you name it! The card are really soft and easily foldable, not really sturdy. Overall I'm really dissapointed with this purchase and I will not bought another set of cards of the same brand.

As thin as play cards, not for preschoolers...,

Within half hour of receiving the stack, one was bent when my son was arranging them. He was devastated. I could tell it wasn't his fault since he didn't mean to do it; and I was right in front of him. He was studying the spelling of the word "top". These cards are the type of cards only to be handled by an adult and back to the shelf when not in use.How in the world is a child going to study them if he doesn't evaluate them and flip them back and forth without getting them bent. As thin as play cards, no one can tell me that play-cards are indeed for preschoolers to play with, so another layer of this type of cardboard used to make these cards would have been appreciated. PS. The issue is not the price although these cards should be sold in the dollar store. But I would not mind spending a couple of dollars more, for a thicker pack. These are just the only cards I found that had the items that I really wanted for him to learn now.

ALPHABET IS NOT COMPLETE!,

I was so excited about getting these. The box says there are 54 cards but as I flipped through the deck, I noticed letters I,J,Q,V,X,Y, and Z were missing. Some letters have multiple cards with different pictures which doesn't make sense if there aren't ANY for the above mentioned letters. I'm COMPLETELY dissatisfied.

These are not very exciting cards...The pictures are a little bit too simple in my opinion, and words used for the cards are not exactly the best ones...I feel that there are more exciting product out there that will accomplish this particular teaching goal better...

I did not read well what material are made of these cards but, I guess if they are for baby toddlers must be plastic or some other resistant material; my child has torn a few ones

These are exactly what you pay for. They are poor quality, feel cheap and the pictures are kind of blurry. I think you can buy them at Walmart for a dollar. They work well for my toddler thought. She destroys all her flashcards so it's nice that they're cheap enough to replace. I think I will buy them at Walmart or Target from now on though.

The illustrations are rough & ugly. Pictures are too grainy. My eyes hurt just to look at them. Paper is flimsy. I can't believe people are actually recommending it. I bought both the "Brighter Child" brand and the "School Zone" brand. The "School Zone" brand is much better in every aspect and a little cheaper, too.
