4.0 out of 5 stars With a little practice this is a nice warmer
My only complaint is figuring out how much water to use to heat the bottle. The instructions indicate the water holder should be filled to the taller fill line to heat an 8 oz bottle and the shorter fill line to heat a 4 oz bottle. Well, my 4 oz bottles are sometimes too hot or cold and you have to wait 10 minutes before using the unit again. I have had to use the faucet...

I've heard some say this is the best warmer available. If so, parents are S.O.L. Heating is SO inconsistent. Same amount of water with the same amount of milk will produce a different temperature every single time. Sometimes way too cold and sometimes way too hot. I have had to use the faucet to correct my over or under bottle heating. I still like this bottle warmer and with practice I will figure out the correct amount of water. The night light is great and the insulated cooler is another nice feature.
I am using the Avent bottles and this system will accomodate the 9 oz Avent bottles if you use the MINI-BASKET. The mini-basket will also hold baby food jars. The 4oz bottles fit in the warming chamber with the regurlar basket.

I can't speak highly enough about this chiller/warmer. Every night I know I will not have to go downstairs to get a bottle, warm it, and bring it back up while baby is crying.

Now, all I do is take the bottle from the chill compartment (complete with ice pack), and place it, with a capful of premeasured water, in the warming compartment and hit a button.

While I change baby's diaper, the bottle is warming, and I am ready to go. This equipment has been a godsend. Actually, I can't think of any equipment that I could live without less.

No complaints whatsoever about this great bottle warmer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Please read instructions. This warmer does the job!, August 15, 2001

Former reveiwers listed that the Night&Day does not fit the 9oz Avent bottles. It does. In fact if you read the instruction booklet, it clearly stated that you use the bottle/jar basket for larger wide-mouth bottles. This unit come with two baskets, one for standard and smaller wide-mouth bottles like Avent, and another to warm baby-food jars and to accomodate larger bottles like the 9oz Avent. So have no fear in purchasing this warmer, it clearly does the job!

4.0 out of 5 stars Convenient, but not consistent, October 13, 2002
By
This review is from: The First Years Night and Day Bottle Warmer System (Baby Product)
I love the convenience of this product. Being able to store 2 bottles works perfectly for me -- one for the middle of the night, and one for first thing in the morning. As soon as the baby starts to wake up, I pop one of the bottles in the warmer, and by the time I have him changed, the bottle is warm.

There are a couple of things that could be better:

It's hard to figure out the right amount of water to put in the resevoir, and it doesn't seem to be consistent. If you don't put in enough water the unit shuts off before the bottle is warm enough and won't turn on again until it cools down. The solution for me has been to put in more than enough water and check the bottle temperature periodically. (i.e., I take the bottle out of the warmer before the unit shuts off so that it doesn't get too hot.)

Also, the cooler portion of the unit isn't tall enough for our 8 oz. Dr. Brown's bottles.

Bottom line -- this product may not be perfect, but I wouldn't live without it!

If you are using standard sized bottles or the smaller (4 oz) Avent bottles, you will love this bottle warmer. It's super easy to use and the storage area is perfect for those late night feedings.

My only complaint is it doesn't hold the larger (9 oz) Avent bottles. If you are using the Avent system, you may want to check out the Safety 1st version of this warmer (Dusk to Dawn) as it does support the larger Avent bottles.

This is my most favorite baby item! I bought this because we live in a two story condo. I wanted a bottle warmer for our bedroom for those late night feedings so I didn't have to run up and down the stairs. This product warms up the bottle in about 4 minutes. I change the baby while I wait for the bottle to heat up, it's very fast. It keeps the bottles cold for 8-12 hours which is great. Works for 4 & 8 oz bottles, I use the playtex nursers with the disposable inserts. I would HIGHLY recommend this item, and am very happy with it!!

I've heard some say this is the best warmer available. If so, parents are S.O.L. Heating is SO inconsistent. Same amount of water with the same amount of milk will produce a different temperature every single time. Sometimes way too cold and sometimes way too hot. When the heating indicator light turns off you must be right there to pull the bottle out or it will continue to significantly warm the bottle without any water medium. Be sure to loosen your bottles cap during heating and check to see that the travel disc is not in place. Otherwise, the bottles (esp. Brown's) will overflow. If that happens cleaning the inside of the warmer is a major hassle because the milk will have burned onto the heating plate. The carrier is too short for Mr. Brown 8oz. bottles or any other of similar height. The tubes provided to premeasure water are a joke. The caps are so hard to close and open you need two really strong hands and maybe multiple tools to shut or flip the tops open. Of course, you will likely be holding your crying and squirming baby in one arm while trying to do open the cap and not spill all the water. They tried to get fancy with the shape of the tubes and cap they forgot to make them easy to use.I just can't believe that someone can't design a better "mouse trap".
To add insult to injury, the taps on the handle that are supposed to hold the top of the bottle storage compartment just broke off...

5.0 out of 5 stars The Absolute Best!, April 4, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The First Years Night and Day Bottle Warmer System (Baby Product)
This is my favorite baby item! I've had it now for 6 months and still absolutely love it!! We always heated bottles on the stove before, which was inconvenient because you could never leave. Now I just add water, drop the bottle in, wait 5 minutes for the "pop" and I'm done - perfect bottle! You do have to put the correct amount of water or the temp won't be right, and you can't leave it in the warmer longer than instructed or it will end up too warm. But if you follow the directions (which are easy) it is the absolute simplest & quickest way to heat a bottle!!
