5.0 out of 5 stars Good rearview sunshade
I actually really like my rear sunshade. Once you get used to it being back there it's not too difficult to see out of the rear window, and I find it helps a little with glare from headlights at night. It keeps the sun off of my kids, and fits the entire back window in my small sedan. And it was really easy to install. The suction cups stay in place for a good...

3.0 out of 5 stars Decent sunshade with room for improvement
Pros: good size for most midsize sedans; clean minimalist appearance

Cons: fabric is not very transparent: for a clear, reliable view of vehicles behind you, you will have to use your side-view mirrors; plastic anchors for vertical mounting behind rear headrests are clumsy and didn't fit either of my vehicles well.

I actually really like my rear sunshade. Once you get used to it being back there it's not too difficult to see out of the rear window, and I find it helps a little with glare from headlights at night. It keeps the sun off of my kids, and fits the entire back window in my small sedan. And it was really easy to install. The suction cups stay in place for a good majority of the time. The only time they come undone is when the weather changes (like hot to cold weather), but any suction cup would do that. I would recommend this to anyone, as I don't have any problems with it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good for the price, June 6, 2008

The picture here is deceptive - the shade is not white, it is black on both sides. Even with it being black though I still am able to see through it fairly well, and it does a good job of keeping the sun out of the baby's eyes the majority of the time. It does not cover the entire back window area (I have a 2006 Subaru Impreza) but there is just a small uncovered space on either side. It took a few tries to get the suction cups to stay up - I did have to clean the window area where the suction cups go before they would stick.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great idea -- but suction cups didn't stick to glass, August 19, 2007
This review is from: The First Years Car Rear Sunshade (Baby Product)
This sun screen is a great idea, but I couldn't get the hard black rubber suction cups to stick to the glass. (The other First Years "adjust and lock car shades" I purchased had clear rubber suction cups and worked fine.)

Product is too small for the rear window of a Prius! I can see how it would work for SUV's.

I have a Honda Civic. The suction cups don't stay on for more than 30 seconds. If someone is sitting in the back seat, they have to keep re-attaching them. Most of the time, however, I'm driving alone with my son, so I'm back to using the carseat canopy for shade...which he hates.

I have a Hyundai Elantra hatchback and this shade fits PERFECTLY! I did install it in June and it is VERY hot. The suction cups have fallen once or twice. I fixed that little problem by waiting for a cooler day and then I applied ONE drop of Krazy Glue to the suction cup and pressed it on. I figure Krazy glue is not going to hold forever. I can just pop it off and then scrape any residue off with a razor blade if needed.

Good shade!

3.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't really cut all of the glare., December 13, 2007

Unfortunately, the sun sneaks in at the top where the suction cups are and hits my baby right in the face. Seems like the sun is always in that position when we drive!! However, I have seen it block out the sun and it does do a pretty good job.
