I only gave it 4 stars since this only seemed to work SOME of the time. We got it as a promo deal before the product hit the market, and we were asked to test it on our colic-y baby. Well, if you have a colic-y baby, you probably already know that everything you try might work for a while, but then you still have a colic-y baby after a few days. This pad seemed to stimulate her to produce burps, spit, and BMs, which, I guess is helpful if your baby's colic is stemmed from gas or intestinal issues. It certainly wasn't the sure-fire ticket to relieving her of fussiness or US of stress.
It was a little bulky and uneasy to use - alligning baby tummy w/ the massagers and leaving it in positon over your shoulder while holding baby. We tried the lap method, but our baby always hated tummy time, so that never really went over well with her either.
All in all, have realistic expectations for this product - it's not going to CURE colic, but might assist in relieving it for a while - I think the price is a little steep for what it actually does, esp since finger massage and bicycle legs work just as effectively for baby.
The best product we found to help with colic was a baby sling Balboa Baby Adjustable Sling by Dr. Sears - Flower - this hot little item was a LIFESAVER!

I bought this based on other people's reviews. The kneading massager thingys irritate him. I don't know if they're too hard or if he just doesn't like the motion, but he 'll lay on it for like a minute and then start screaming. He's not really colicky (cries uncontrollably at about the same time every day for an inexplicable reason), but he does get pretty gassy...and this doesn't help. He does best when I walk around with him over my shoulder. It gets all the gassies out.

The product was just as described. It just wasn't what I thought it would be. I thought it was more of a pad that you could place in the crib to help babies with colic. I didn't realize it would be so small. Other than that it was in perfect shape, Brand New just as described.

We were dealing with a colicky baby who wasnt sleeping at all - This didnt help one lick, and it has stayed on the shelf since the one time we tried to use it. It just is a large pad with rotating "massage" balls. I got better results using the palm of my hand on the baby's back.

The thing is a piece of junk. When it runs it sounds like it is having a hard time when even the smallest amount of pressure is on it. I would return it, but after the restocking fee and paying shipping to go back it is not worth it.

I would give this product a zero if I could. My daughter loves to have her back rubbed at night before she falls asleep so we thought this would be a good product, not even! Not even two minutes on this thing and she was screaming, we pulled her off right away and the next morning she had light bruises on her back from the balls in the massager. Maybe this product would be ok for an older baby but for 0-3 months old heck no!

After weeks of trying everything to help my son with his colic, I came accross this massage pad and IT IS AMAZING!!! Nothing cures colic, but this comes close! Within 2 minutes of holding my son on the pad, he fell asleep! We use it daily and swear by it! If you have a colicy baby, buy this!
