Awesome chair, best out there!,
By
This review is from: The First Years Newborn-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat (Baby Product)
We bought this chair 6 months ago when our son started eating cereal. I do home childcare, so we've seen alot of highchairs & boosters in my 9 years of doing this. This seat is nice because it's small but very roomy. Has few parts that will break. Is made well. Reclines. Has a machine washable seat pad. Dishwasher safe tray with big sides to help retain "windshield wiper" kid hands. I love this seat and can't recommend highly enough. I'd say the only thing missing is a 1-hand release button for the tray. But in my prior experiences, that & the seat pad are the first things that break.

Great Chair!,
This review is from: The First Years Newborn-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat (Baby Product)
I have been using this chair since my daughter was born. While she was an infant, it was great to recline the seat and put her in it while we ate dinner. She sat with us and always seemed comfortable and happy in this chair.
It's been 2 years and we have used this chair every single day. I would highly recommend it. If we have another child, I will only need to get the replacement pack (which is a new cover and new straps) because after everyday use, the seat cover and straps have gotten a little funky. But the replacement pack is only $7. This was a great buy!

Wonderful chair,
This review is from: The First Years Newborn-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat (Baby Product)
This chair is great. I bought it for when my 4 month begins to start spoon feeding. However,my two year old who never sits to eat loves this chair, especially the alphabet and number card that fits onto the tray. Reclining the chair takes a little force. Otherwise, I would recommend this product.

My mother in law has one of these, originally for my niece, but she also uses it as a booster for our 4 year old. It is great for my neice, not so much for our toddler. It simply is too low for her to be able to reach the table easily. We use a Kids II Booster Seat - Pink at home and at my mothers and it puts her at just the right height. They also sell them at w-mart (probably cheaper as well), which is where we picked up ours and they come in blue as well.
For a baby that is not seated at the table, it works very well, though my niece has no love for being restrained, so doesn't use it much. It has belts so you can use it with or with out the tray. However I wouldn't really call it portable, nor the other seat I mentioned. You can move them, but the straps that hold them to the chair are difficult to tighten properly, so once it's in place we generally do not move them.

Great Space Saver!,

This is an excellent alternative to a conventional highchair. I wanted something that would save space in my tight kitchen and I could bring along to a restaurant. Restuarant highchairs are so icky! I bought my seat in 1999, yes 11 years ago, for my first born. My 3rd child is now using that same seat. The straps were recalled, but after contacting the company, they sent me replacement straps. The seat cushion washes easily in my washing machine; no stains and hasn't faded. The tray cleans in a flash and I have sanitized it in my dishwasher many times. This is a great find. Practical and portable...I love it.

Love it!,

We bought this seat because of the space saving advantages, and we love it. Now with baby #2 we are getting a second one because our baby #1 (2 yrs) is still using her's. We love that it is entirely dishwasher safe, no more trying to get little particles of food out from beneath the seat or in the cracks. Simply take it apart, pop it in the dishwasher and it's like brand new! The pad on ours has been washed countless times but still looks great. It is also comfortable, more than some of the other seat pads out there that are plastic. The little tray insert was a thow-away for us, our little one would rather throw it on the floor than look at it. The reclining infant feature is also nice for having family meals. I would highly recommend this seat for any parent weather you are looking to save space or not.

GREAT little feeding seat,

We were tired of our bigger self-standing highchair. It had too many nooks that food would get caught in, and we just couldn't get it clean after many years of use. The tray was so huge it had to be hand washed and even then didn't fit in the sink easily. Food easily rolled away and the drink holder was a joke since it was so far away from the child.
So we decided to give this one a shot. It was a stellar purchase that I wish we had made sooner. We have ours upright, which leaves a gap between the seat and back of the chair because of the reclining feature of the seat. The tray actually fits in this space, which is useful if you don't want to put in on the floor while you clean up the seat mess or if you are putting baby in the seat before you put food on the tray. The fabric cleans nicely and, so far with what we've given the baby, hasn't stained. The tray is the perfect size. It fits in our dishwasher as well as our sink. Our 10 month old can reach the far side of the tray, which is nice because she can reach the peas when they roll away from her so she isn't screaming for them out of frustration. The tray can actually be removed one handed if you have it clean enough to tilt. It comes up right next to baby's belly with quite a few slots to put it in for distance so it really does grow with baby. Because of how close it is to baby's belly the amount of food we are finding in the seat is much, much less. Finally, the seat secures nicely to the chair and feels quite safe. I even move the chair around from the table to the kitchen with the feeding seat not moving despite being lifted at an angle. Great little seat that I can't recommend more. Plus, at this price, if you have an extra chair to use, why not give it a shot? In the very least, it can be a nice back-up option. Best case - you love it as much as we do and save almost $100 over the huge stand alone chairs.

Buying another one,

We have 8 month old twins and wanted to buy one chair and try it out before buying the second. We like this chair, it certainly helps to save space, we haven't had any problems with it at all. The removable cloth is handy, although it would have been nice if it had a more waterproof finish on it, because it absorbs everything. The tray is simple to adjust, and the child is easily secured. We have just ordered the second one and can't wait until we receive it.

Great seat - small problem ...,

We've had this seat for 2 years ... we love it! It's great to save space and roomy for even a toddler. My only problem is that it really, really scratched my wooden kitchen chair. If I had to do it all over again, I would get this same chair, but put felt pads under it to save my chair.

Perfect Feeding Chair - Not Booster,
By Rubber Ducky (California) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The First Years Newborn-to-Toddler Reclining Feeding Seat (Baby Product)
We got this booster for our son when he started eating solids (four months?) and he still sits in it at almost four! The seat straps were just fine for attaching to our metal bistro chairs even with the extra pad on, and he was a good height for our glass table. It's not a good height at my parent's wooden table though. He still uses it with the tray to eat in the living room, since he's not allowed to walk around or stand with food. The adjustable tray has grown with him, and the seat can be raised and lowered for different sized legs. We're going to get another for our new baby when he starts solids.
