Save big bucks and buy this!,

This simply works! After using the hospitale-grade pump at the NICU my wife just couldn't adjust to anything else. We had almost made up our mind for going in for a rental or the Pump in Style, but I did not have the heart to fork out the big bucks for either. Somehow I ran into this, and looked at the price tag and decided to take a chance, quite convinced that I woudl still have to go in for a reantal. But this one worked!! And worked well!! She can now express 8 ounces in about 15-20 minutes!Another thing, it does not make too much noise, and comes in a stylish bag with insulation section and an ice pack. Has an adjustable speed motor and extra breast shield. All in all, in two days, we have been extremely happy with the product's performance. And the best is that it is rated for contant use, and not just ocassional use. Update after 5 weeks: Still going strong! No sign of trouble, and its pumping away 6 times a day, 6-8 ounces each time. I'm glad I bought this, and saved big bucks

A Great Choice,

I'm very, very pleased with this pump. I was using a manual pump, which, though it worked fine, was a royal pain in the butt, especially since I was back to work only a few weeks after my daughter was born. It became difficult to pump with it at work and I started to realize I was drying out. Since my daughter is only 2 months old, I really didn't feel ready to stop breastfeeding yet, so after some research, I decided to try this pump for the good reviews and the price--I simply couldn't afford the Pump in Style or the Double Ease or any of the other more pricey pumps with all the little goodies like the bag and cooler and all that. It's been awesome, not painful at all--it's just a matter of finding your own comfort level with the suction. I've already noticed that my milk supply is increasing itself again, which makes me very happy. There's only 2 things I would make different about it. One is to have it a little more quiet, though I've never heard any of the other brands working, so I don't know if this is considered quiet or not. I work at a Spa, so quiet is a bit of an issue for me. But it certainly doesn't decrease the value of this pump, and I would still buy it again. The other is that I can't pump straight into my bottles like I was able to with the Medela manual I was using. I use the Playtex Nurser bottles and it came with adapter pieces that fit the manual so I could pump straight into the drop-in, but because the neck on this pump is so wide, I can't do that anymore. Not too big a deal, but it was convenient. :) All in all, this pump is great, and I've already recommended it to a co-worker who is currently pregnant. :)

I love this product! It works really well, I've been using it for 2 months now, and no problems. I don't think it's too noisy, just put the cover down and the sound is muted. The containers are frosted, but it's still easy to see how much milk there is (I used a sharpie and marked the ounces so it was easier to see). I wish there was a nipple and ring large enough to fit on the containers so you could feed directly, but pouring into another bottle really isnt that much of a hassle. It's not at all painful to use.Initially I started on the lowest level and slowly would work it up. Now I can start at the highest level, no problem.I work 12 hour shifts at work, and discovered that the ice pack included doesnt last that long- didnt even seem to last 6 hours...so I bought a double pack of the especially for baby brand and out one of those in with it. Tight fit, but it keeps the milk cold. FYI- defrost frozen milk in the fridge 8-12 hrs. Can apparently defrost by putting in running warm water, or just warm(not hot) water for 30 min- but I've never tried this. Use defrosted milk within 24hrs, dont ever refreeze. I believe that you can get a brand new, with warranty, straight from the manufacturer on ebay. I only got the single pump, and I sort of wish I had the double now that I'm back at work with limited time to pump. But, at the time of purchase single sounded easier to use. And it really takes two hands -one to hold, one to put pressure to get the milk out faster. I definitly recommend this product- havent used the Pump N style, but why pay that much if this works.
