We purchased two of these crates for our 60 lb dogs over 2 months ago. The 42" size is quite large, in fact, both dogs can sleep comfortably together in one. The crates are like cozy, mini tents and my husband and I joke that we'd like to sleep in them. They are very light to move around, and easy to fold up or down.

We've had two problems. One is that our newest dog (a year old puppy) chewed through one of the zippers within the first week. We solved that problem with some training, and we still use the crate with that opening against the wall. So obviously not for chewers.

The second problem is the most concerning for me. Other people have mentioned the smell... I can't state this strongly enough - these crate smell like a petroleum product. We initially had the crates in our great room, and sure enough the smell seemed to go away after a few weeks. We recently moved the crates into our bedroom and discovered that in fact, they do still smell. Strongly enough that I'm concerned about the effect on our dogs overtime. We usually don't zipper the doors anymore, so the dogs can come and go as they please and they are still choosing to go in their crates (like I said earlier - cozy!). But the smell bothers me, so I can imagine how it must bother the dogs who have a much more keen sense of smell.

The prices on these crates keep going down (other websites sold them a while back retail for $180) so I would imagine that they are aware of the smell problem....

Great crate for our golden puppy. He slept in it every night until very recently.

Easy setup, and very durable. Our boy is a chewer, and he's given up trying to chew on this crate.

Seemed very large when we first got it, but now his paws brush the sides/back when he stretches out. He's about 7 months old and 55 lbs, so is not yet fully grown. You might want to consider the 42 inch model if you have a dog that will grow to 70+ lbs.

I highly recommend this crate for dogs who don't mind being crated, as it would be very easy to break free if the desire was there. My dog loves his crates and typically lies in them for naps when he isn't even required to. He really seems to enjoy this one, especially with the ability to open the top and side. It is lightweight and easy to travel with (handle included). I bought this to replace my previous collapsable crate which is all steel and too heavy to haul around. It has a nice appearance to it too. The only complaint I have with it is the "new smell" which I am hoping goes away soon. My dog doesn't seem to mind it, but I can't stand it. Overall, I'm extremely happy with it and highly recommend this crate.

We purchased the 36" crate for my 5 month old boxer puppy as a travel crate to be used when visiting family. I really liked the size and style of crate and it was very easy to put together and seemed well made. Our dog is fully crate trained and has no separation anxiety issues, he actually enjoys being in his crate and will lie in it when he is tired or would just like some quiet time. However, he is a leaner.. He likes to lean against the sides and front of the crate when closed. On about the 4th time using this crate, we left him in it (doors zippered) for about 2 hours. We came home and he was in the crate however we noticed items disturbed around the house. Upon letting him out I realized the zipper had pulled apart and the crate was actually opened. By the looks of things he had "leaned" on the "front door" and his weight led the zipper to burst open (I was able to pull the zipper back to it's starting position and it still works properly), he had a little fun around the house then retreated back to his "house" to rest (thank god nothing was destroyed and he was not hurt). By the look of this crate (especially the larger sizes) if the manufacturers would have used an industrial strength zipper, it would be more secure and I would have easily given it 5 stars, however they didn't and he has another 30lbs to go. I am not expecting this crate to hold him without reinforcements. :(

Great for traveling. Yellow Lab has plenty of room and she is almost 60 lbs. Only concern is that she could tip it over if she tried hard. Overall I would purchase again.

I bought these crates for my Sheltie puppies. Having had dogs for the past 30 years, I have owned all kinds of dog crates, and these are by far my favorites. They are sturdy and attractive (for dog crates), fold down small enough to be handy for travel, and are easy to fold and unfold. One of my favorite features is the door on top, which is so convenient for puppies--much easier to put them in and out this way than to crawl on the floor reaching into the back of the crate. Also, two side doors mean that the crates have easy access wherever they are placed in the room or the car.

My dogs aren't heavy chewers, so I can't speak for how well these would hold up for big dogs that chew, but they seem very sturdy, and have withstood plenty of scratching from the inside without showing wear. I expect to be using them for many years to come.

I just love that crate. I bought it for my puppy, he got use to it very quickly. We go camping a lot and it is the most comfortable piece of equipment that I have to bring with me, it is very easy to set up as well as it looks very nice and makes my dog feel safe in new place since it reminds him of home. All of my friends ask where I have got it. I would recommend it to everyone. There is a variety of sizes. My dog is going to be about 50 pounds and I bought the perfect size for him: N2-36 (he is half the size right now so the crate looks big but he loves it anyway). The only one thing about the crate that I didn't like was the smell of new fabric: for about 2 days after we got it I had to have it outside in the sun trying to eliminate the smell because the dog wasn't interested in the crate until the smell was gone, but I guess it depends on the dog (if he/she is sensitive to it) and I also think that is normal that new fabric smells (it is like getting a new carpet or something similar), so I didn't mind having it in the sun for couple of days since now I can not imagine our life without that crate:-)

I've seen the item. It's great. The trouble is with sitstay.com, I ordered two of these crates through Amazon which was supplied by sitstay.com. I paid for the order and it showed pending on my credit card. Two days later I received an email sitstay.com cancelled the order because it was out-of-stock. Right then I inquired to find the crates were still available through Amazon and sitstay.com. Later I followed up with Darcie in the Customer Service Department and found they had been in stock the whole week before. Now they want me to redo my order with sitstay (not Amazon) at a higher price. They won't honor the other price they say because it was through Amazon. Beware!!!

I bought this for my little Yorkie. I bought the big size so I could use it for daytime when I am work. It accomodates him just great. Like a giant playpen only way more study. I can fit his wee wee pad, bed, toys, and food and water dishes and he has plenty of space. I keep a sheet of plastic under it too because the bottom is only water resistant. It is also light weight so it can be moved around easily and isn't a big metal eyesore in the living room.

Excellent product. Multiple points of entry (zippered meshes) is a big plus. The material is relatively durable. The whole thing is washable. Well-ventilated. Easy to assemble and collapse. Nicely thought out small touches like clips which restrain the zippers from moving. To top it off, the price is reasonable. I wouldn't hesitate to buy the same product again if the one we own disappeared...
