This review is from: Fiscal Fitness: 8 Steps to Wealth and Health from America's Leaders of Fitness and Finance (Paperback)

Fiscal Fitness is a collaboration between healthy physical fitness as well as financially fit for the retirement age. Jack LaLanne and Matthew J. Rettick come together in their book to, in some way warn those that are approaching retirement age or even those in their 30's. If you are not in good physical condition you will end up missing out on the "golden years", and if you are not financially prepared you could out-live your savings and assets leaving behind a mountain of debt.

Jack LaLanne is known as The Godfather of Fitness, he is going strong at 94 years old, working out twice a day and is a firm believer that with the right eating habits and exercise routine you could add an extra 20-25 years to your life. He tells you how to access your assets and liabilities with short easy exercises that will help jump start your body.

Matthew J. Rettick is the Founder and CEO of Covenant Reliance Producers, LLC and he has experienced first hand at what can happen if you succumb to the over-buying, charging everything to credit, as well as seeing how quickly money can diminish if you're forced to go into nursing homes or other types of medical care. He has devoted his life to making sure that retiree's know how to make their money last longer, and stay financially stable.

I couldn't think of any people better to come together in writing this type of book. Both are hugely successful in what they do, and seem to really care about not just those that are now retired but those that really don't know how to go about saving and making themselves healthy. Included in Fiscal Fitness, you will find exercise tips, eating the correct foods, investing tips, long term health care advice as well as advice on how to make life a little less stressful. I wouldn't completely call this a `self-help' book, but it is a very nice guide book for those that really are looking for ways to enjoy their life, and make it last a little longer. On a side note I really appreciate the glossary, there are terms that I had no idea what they truly meant, and the glossary made those words very easy to understand. 5 Hearts
