I liked these cards, but wish three things: 1) that they included more interesting fish pictures (like sharks, whales, etc). All the fish sort of look alike to me! 2) I wish that the pictures of the fish were more distinct in how they appear on the cards (the fish are 'lost' in the pictures by all the background colors & scenarios). And 3)I wish the numbers on the cards were larger.

I had to actually research Go Fish card sets to find one that is not ugly. If I am going to spend hours playing cards with my little grandchildren I would like for all of us to enjoy the colors and designs. The fish pictures are based on real fish and labeled. I wish they were more like pictures of fish, but this deck is far better than the rest of the pack of Go Fish sets.

Here I make a plea that manufacturer's place more emphasis on realistic plant and animal life as well as good design.

These cards are bigger than a standard deck of playing cards but that's ok with me. We bought these for my 3 year old to learn how to play Go Fish. She could hold all five cards in her hand if she wanted to but we usually have her spread them on the ground so I can help her. The pictures are bright and colorful and the little facts on each card are interesting. I like that they are freshwater fish because we have an aquarium ourselves and they have a few of our fish listed on these cards so that is neat. My only complaint with these cards is that the back side is just plain paper which leads them to get bent up kind of quickly. I plan to take these to a school supply store and see if they can laminate them for me so they last longer. For the price though I'd definitely recommend them to a friend.

These are big cards with bright, colorful pictures of fish for the game fish, what a concept, which makes them quite attractive to youngsters. I think my little grandchildren who are learning how to count like to practice counting the fish exactly because the cards are so colorful. I have never found kids counting diamonds, clubs, spades, and hearts on regular cards.

I bought these for my niece she likes playing Go Fish. I really liked the card detail. The only thing I do wish about these cards is that they were a little bit smaller. My neice had a hard time holding them up. Other then that they are good cards. We really enjoy playing, they make the game a lot funner and the kids get to learn about the fishes on the cards.

While we enjoy using these cards for our Go Fish game, they cards are SO LARGE that it's hard to hold onto them! I have a hard time myself, so you can imagine my poor 6yr old son trying to hold his hand of cards! He usually ends up laying them down since it's too difficult. I like the cards, and it's fun for him to learn to read the fish names as well!

The pictures are bright and very nice. The large dimensions of the cards make them easy to see. I was disappointed in the thickness or weight of the cardstock, which is not as thick as regular playing cards. Thus they bend and crease in my child's small hands when picked up. Not a problem I expected to encounter in cards designed for children.

I use these sturdy colorful playing cards as a fun way to develop thinking, decision-making, turn-taking, and social skills for my 3 year old granddaughter. Being an avid diver I am always looking for ways to reinforce her love of the water. Besides playing the Go Fish game I am working with her learning the names of fish.
