In prehistoric times, the somewhat naive Fish lives an easy life, deified by a tribe of ape men. When visitors from outer space zap the ape men out of their ignorance, Fish must suddenly fend for himself. Being unable to do so, he instead digs a hole in the ground and goes into hibernation. Aroused by construction work in the sewers, Fish wakes up in the midst of modern life. Confused and scared, he must make sense of the people and events he encounters.

About the Author
Peter Kielland was born in 1960 Helsinore, Denmark.
He graduated from the Royal Academy of Art in Copenhagen in 1986. While = still studying, Kielland had his debut in 1983 with the graphic novel = "Only Tonight." He produced four more graphic novels before 1995, when = "Fish" was first published and subsequently awarded Best Graphic Novel = of the Year in Denmark. Since then, Kielland has worked on his acclaimed = trilogy "Ironbound," of which the last part is scheduled for publication = in 2006.
