A simple story about a grandmother's love for fishing, October 16, 2006
This review is from: Fish for Supper (Paperback)
The small book offers a sweet and simple story about a grandmother who loves to fish. A small phrase or sentence is offered on each page under a simple and pleasant line drawing. The story looks at how grandmother's day is centered around getting up and preparing to fish, being on the lake, preparing her fish for dinner and going to bed in order to wake up early to go fishing again. This is a story of simplicity which won a Caldecott Honor Award.

fish for supper, July 3, 2007
This review is from: Fish for Supper (Paperback)
i happened to find this little musty book in a "thrift shop" today. It sends such a simple and loving message so pertinent to our technical life today. it reminds me so much of "the misery" books that i read to my children.
who cares what my grandchidren think? i love it and it has a special place on my bookcase!
