This Pack is great, It allows you to carry everything, a lot of storage space. The work bench is very handy and I am able to carry 2 water bottles with me on a day long outing. It is very versatile, you can wear it on your hip, fanny, or just sling it over your shoulder.

I received this lumbar/chest pack today and I am extremely pleased with it. I purchased this pack because of the versatility in the ways in which you can wear the pack. It can be worn as a hip/lumbar/fanny pack or you can tuck the wide hip supports and belt into a pocket and use the shoulder strap to carry as a shoulder or chest pack.

I am surprised at how much this bag carries. I was able to fit 2 large and 3 small fly boxes in one of the three zipper compartments. I could easily fit more if needed. The compression straps help to keep everything snug when not fully loaded. The front compartment folds out to a work bench of sorts and has a removable foam fly pad to give easy access to your most frequently used flies.

The zippers are much larger than I expected making them easy to access even when wearing gloves. I haven't submerged the pack under water but the material certainly seems to have water repellent properties to keep your gear dry.

The pack was very comfortable no matter how you choose to wear it. There is plenty of padding to keep it comfortable for a long day of fishing. My only complaint (and it's a minor one) is the microfiber padding on the shoulder strap could be a bit longer or have the ability to slip along the strap for comfort.

If you have an overloaded fly vest and are wanting to try a chest/lumbar pack, the Fishpond Waterdance Guide Pack is a great choice. There are other packs that are more suited to minimalist fishing but if you like to carry everything with you, this is a fantastic pack. I like this pack so much, that I bought a second one to give as a gift for the holidays.
