Product Description

Editorial Review

The only thing a parent values more than an item that makes kids happy is an item that’s going to keep them happy for a long time. Fortunately, some items are up to that daunting challenge: LEGOs, Harry Potter, and this very cool rocker that’s designed to grow with kids from infants all the way up to 40 pound toddlers. For infants, it reclines, features a toy bar of dangly stuffed friends, and it vibrates. Like a good long car trip, a vibrating seat is bound to calm baby and possibly send him off to dreamland. As baby grows, the toy bar can be removed and the toys clipped on to the side. And as baby turns into kid, the backrest can be raised making the chair more of a regular rocker. We loved the versatility of this chair as well as the festive blue pattern. --John Moe

5.0 out of 5 stars can't live without, February 4, 2004

This review is from: Fisher-Price Learning Patterns Rocker (Toy)
my husband and i bought this one when my son turned 3 months old. it was a choice between a swing, a bouncer and this one, a rocker. we had a difficult time picking out which one would best fit our son. we wanted something that he wouldn't outgrow and is worthy of its price. and we end up with this...which we had no regrets at all.

it's very easy to assemble. very light and easy to carry around the house with my son at hand. has 2 reclining position which helped position my 3-1/2 month son, who couldn't even sit up well. the seat belts put my son securely in place even when i leave him by himself, just don't forget to pull up the bar below to restrain the chair from rocking. the toy bar is great. it's soft and cushiony. has a color that stimulates the visual development of a baby. it holds 3 different hanging toys. best of all, my son just loved pulling the monkey to hear it's music the moment he turned 4-1/2 months. the monkey became his favorite companion even when we were out.

my son lounges on his rocker while watching tv, mouthing his toes and fingers, eating, waiting for mom to get free from urgent household chores (which doesn't take long actually), and most of the time for afternoon naps.

my son is now 6 months old and he still loves his rocker. we got a full-sized swing recently and he wasn't as enthusiastic to ride it as he was with his rocker. so we end up returning the swing and settle for the ever lovable rocker instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!, February 2, 2003
This review is from: Fisher-Price Learning Patterns Rocker (Toy)
After reading reviews of other bouncer/rockers, I decided to get this one for our four month old. I was so pleased with how versatile it is. The seat back has two positions, the toys can either hang from the bar or attach to the seat, the vibrator is really strong and takes a D battery so it won't die quickly, and it even leans back stationary with the stand. My son was all smiles when we put him in it and I am so glad to buy a product that will last a long time. It holds up to 40 pounds! It wasn't hard to assemble and doesn't rock too far forward. I think you'll really be pleased with this rocker!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is all you need, June 3, 2003

Don't get a bouncy seat, they grow out of them so quickly! This is wonderful and it grows with your child. At 2 months, my son could actually make it rock on his own so the toys would move. We have taken it on travel because he enjoys it and you can pop up the stand and he can sleep in it as well. Older children love it as a rocker too!
