5.0 out of 5 stars can't live without
my husband and i bought this one when my son turned 3 months old. it was a choice between a swing, a bouncer and this one, a rocker. we had a difficult time picking out which one would best fit our son. we wanted something that he wouldn't outgrow and is worthy of its price. and we end up with this...which we had no regrets at all.

1.0 out of 5 stars dangerous - tips over with baby in it
I have an 8 month old baby who loved to sit in the chair and play with toys. He leaned forward to get a toy from the floor and the chair flipped over with him pinned underneath. He ended up with a big bruise and two black eyes. Fisher price offered a refund and ups pick up, BUT explained it is ONLY INTENDED for a child who can not sit up or a child who is big enough to...

my husband and i bought this one when my son turned 3 months old. it was a choice between a swing, a bouncer and this one, a rocker. we had a difficult time picking out which one would best fit our son. we wanted something that he wouldn't outgrow and is worthy of its price. and we end up with this...which we had no regrets at all.

it's very easy to assemble. very light and easy to carry around the house with my son at hand. has 2 reclining position which helped position my 3-1/2 month son, who couldn't even sit up well. the seat belts put my son securely in place even when i leave him by himself, just don't forget to pull up the bar below to restrain the chair from rocking. the toy bar is great. it's soft and cushiony. has a color that stimulates the visual development of a baby. it holds 3 different hanging toys. best of all, my son just loved pulling the monkey to hear it's music the moment he turned 4-1/2 months. the monkey became his favorite companion even when we were out.

my son lounges on his rocker while watching tv, mouthing his toes and fingers, eating, waiting for mom to get free from urgent household chores (which doesn't take long actually), and most of the time for afternoon naps.

my son is now 6 months old and he still loves his rocker. we got a full-sized swing recently and he wasn't as enthusiastic to ride it as he was with his rocker. so we end up returning the swing and settle for the ever lovable rocker instead.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product!, February 2, 2003
This review is from: Fisher-Price Learning Patterns Rocker (Toy)
After reading reviews of other bouncer/rockers, I decided to get this one for our four month old. I was so pleased with how versatile it is. The seat back has two positions, the toys can either hang from the bar or attach to the seat, the vibrator is really strong and takes a D battery so it won't die quickly, and it even leans back stationary with the stand. My son was all smiles when we put him in it and I am so glad to buy a product that will last a long time. It holds up to 40 pounds! It wasn't hard to assemble and doesn't rock too far forward. I think you'll really be pleased with this rocker!

5.0 out of 5 stars This is all you need, June 3, 2003

Don't get a bouncy seat, they grow out of them so quickly! This is wonderful and it grows with your child. At 2 months, my son could actually make it rock on his own so the toys would move. We have taken it on travel because he enjoys it and you can pop up the stand and he can sleep in it as well. Older children love it as a rocker too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Infant to toddler rocker is the best, February 6, 2003

When my granddaughter was born I bought this as a way when I was cleaning or doing other things around the house to keep her in the same room with me. She is now 3 years old and still uses it as a rocking chair to watch movies. I have given this as a gift numerous times and everyone that has received it really loves to use it also. Much more versatile than a bouncer. The vibrator is also great when they are fussing.

The old one broke, WHILE baby was in it, slapping his head on the hardwood floor. So, my main concern for this new one was safety and STURDINESS! Well, I got it!! This thing is SOLID! It's held together with screws and steel pins. Gotta like that. It was easy to put together, and baby seems comfortable in it. The cover comes off easily, and you can access the battery easily too -- no need to take off the whole cover. The cover is held on with sturdy clips, so it's safe too. Baby can reach the toys, and they don't bump him on the head. The recline feature was nice too. It has buttons to raise and lower it, so it's secure. That reclined position would have been nice when he was smaller. I'm also really pleased that this one is rated for up to 40 pounds. He's only 4 months and already weighs over 19 pounds!!

I have a 4 month old son who loved his bouncie seat, but out grew it very fast. So we went out and found the infant to toddler rocker, he loves it by far. It keeps him very occupied and it will last up to 40 lbs. I encourage everyone to buy this chair instead of the other bouncie chairs, because of the weight limit and the toys are easier to reach.

5.0 out of 5 stars Must Have With Baby/Toddler, October 6, 2003

I purchased the first version of this product (no toy bar attached) for my son when he was 2 months old, he is now 4 years old and still loves to use this chair. Additionally, I have a 7 month old who has used this chair from the day we brought her home. We also had a bouncy seat but she quickly outgrew that and did not enjoy it near as much because she was practically laying down in it. I use this chair to feed her and to let her sit in and play while I am doing chores. After all of this use the chair is still in great shape! If parents remember to buckle the child in they should have no problems with it!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best and most useful gift I received!, April 9, 2003

This chair/rocker is great as a baby chair, and for a toddler. My son is 20months and still loves this gift! From the moment he started to use it, at about 3 months of age, he loved looking at the colorful toys, and loved it even more when he was able to reach for them and jiggle them around to hear the sounds.
It was also great as a feeding seat, being the age they start food at is so early, they aren't ready for sitting up straight in a high chair.
Now, at almost 2, he sits in it to read, watch his favorite shows, and even puts his stuffed animals in the seatbelt.
This rocker is very sturdy, and even though going through a lot of use, is still standing strong.
I would recommend this gift for any child, and I am sure my son would too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Definitely a must-have!, April 24, 2003
This review is from: Fisher-Price Learning Patterns Rocker (Toy)
For less than 30 dollars, this product is surely worth every penny. Our baby loves his rocker-he sleeps & plays in it and could be use for feeding, too. The vibration feature is great, really calms him and lulls him to sleep and the toys are well-thought of, very stimulating and interesting. We bought a 2-in-1 bouncer/bassinet before we had the rocker. what a waste of money, if only we've known.. This rocker is the only baby seat you'll need, could take the place of a bouncer and a bassinet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent all in one - baby to toddler, May 24, 2003

I absolutely loved this chair. I use "loved" in past tense because my daughter has out grown this.

I highly recommend getting this as early as possible. As an infant it reclines so the baby is fully supported. There are toys for baby to focus on and vibrations to relax baby. The chair easily adjusts to baby's age. My daughter loved it as a baby and loved it as a toddler.

As a toddler's rocker or chair - it's sturdy - safe and won't tip over when they start rocking hard. It holds up to the roughness that kids put their toys through:0)

The cover comes off for easy cleaning - I would throw mine in the washer and dryer - it didn't fade and was extremely easy to clean.

This is an excellent product at and excellent price - I highly recommend this chair/rocker.
