pretty darn nice,

While the closed shape was a little odd looking but after the cap is pulled the pen expands to a nice full sized pen. Great to carry in your pocket and pull out for a quick note. Plus, it's no ordinary pen! It writes upside down and in the rain (why would I do that? well, police often write tickets in the rain for example.) make it a versatile tool. When paired with a Moleskine notebook you have the geek combo pack for extreme notetaking in any environment.
A little pricey up front, but it the design is worth it.

Great pen, but slippery,

The pen is great. It writes very nicely (haven't tried underwater or upside down yet) and its tiny size is really convenient. It's also heavy and nicely weighted when writing. In retrospect, I probably should have gotten the black pen with matte finish and a clip, because the chrome one is a little slippery, especially because of its weight. But it sure looks cool.

Great Pen!,

This review is from: Fisher Bullet - Classic Chrome Ballpoint Pen - 400 (Office Product)
So it takes a bit to get used to the feel and the size of this bullet version of the famous space pen, but once you take off of cap and put it on the end, it feels pretty much like a regular ball-point pen.
These pens were developed in the 60's and sold to NASA for the astronauts to use in a zero-g environment. Do not believe the urban myth that NASA spent millions of dollars to develop this pen. That is not true. Anyway, this pen came in a cool little gift box with a guarantee and an order form to get yourself some replacement cartridges. This pen will past forever and is a nice little gift, especially for a pre-teen or Jr. High student just getting into cool novelty items. 4 stars, not 5 only because the price is a bit hefty for a pen.
