Product Description

The original Bullet Space Pen was conceived in July of 1948. Paul Fisher was soon machining a new pen design shaped from solid aluminum. It became the first Fisher ball point pen, the #400 Bullet Pen with Stylus tip and removable clip, is arguably the most popular pen of the twentieth century. This pen is now all brass with a Chrome finish. When closed, the Bullet Space Pen is the perfect size to carry in your wallet, pocket, purse, car glove box, organizer or toolbox. When open it's a full sized, evenly balanced writing instrument. The patented ink cartridge was designed by Paul Fisher for NASA in the 1960's enabling it to write in temperatures from -30 to +250 degrees Fahrenheit, under water, in zero gravity, at any angle, even upside down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great portable combo pen - stylus, November 21, 2009

I've been using a bullet pen for years, so when I saw that this had a stylus, well it was a no brainer. I have an Omnia (which by the way is a great Windows Mobile device) and the stylus works really well with it. For those times that a finger just won't do it, having a stylus in my pocket is a real convenience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Pen For Your Pocket!, July 25, 2010

This review is from: Fisher Space Pen, Bullet Space pen with Clip and Stylus Tip, Chrome (400CL/S) (Office Product)
This is the second Space Pen I've bought and I love them. My first Space Pen lasted me for 10 years before my pack was stolen forcing me to replace it. This one is identical to the first and it works just as well.

Here's the bottom line: Pens are becoming anachronistic. As electronic communication and correspondence becomes ubiquitous - so ends the need for pen and paper. It won't be long before you won't NEED a pen, but you'll still have to have one and this is it.

The design is truly beautiful. The pen is nice and short when closed, but as long as a regular pen when open. This small size makes it the ideal pen to stick in your pocket, purse, fanny pack, whatever. I don't know if it's indestructible, but the one I had for 10 years looked very good and worked perfectly living in my pocket the whole time. I never had to change ink cartridges, but they're available everywhere.

If you are looking for a pen that's going to make people jealous, keep looking. This is an affordable and elegantly simple writing instrument. People may not think it costs a thousand dollars, but they'll ALL think it's cool and want one of their own.

BTW: The pocket clip does come off without much force. I would take a star off for this except that I never use the clip anyway. The closed pen is a little too short to securely clip in your pocket.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love It, March 12, 2009
I keep it in my pocket. Never fails... even on those plastic thermal sales slips that I have to sign when the one at the store never will.
