3.0 out of 5 stars Flavor missing
I found this mix lacked flavor, could not detect an orange flavor at all. They are still as flaky as the original mix but the flavor was just lacking. I prefer the original and then add my own fruits and spices.

Little did they know, they came from a box that required that you simply add water! I even cheated and didn't kneed it adding flour ... just mixed, let it sit a few minutes and dropped by the spoonful onto a cookie sheet. Couldn't be easier! I can't find this product locally so I always order here. Also makes a great gift when combined with some nice coffee beans/grounds! Bon Appetit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Yum!, January 25, 2009
This review is from: Fisher Cranberry Orange Fair Scone Mix, 12-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
I love this mix! Easy and lovely. My first batch came out a tad dry because I added a bit much flour. I don't know how anyone could think they were greasy??? Beyond me.

I recommend this mix to anyone.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Buying Again, September 4, 2011

This review is from: Fisher Cranberry Orange Fair Scone Mix, 12-Ounce Boxes (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
Had excellent results with Fisher's Original Fair Scone Mix but not with this one. This scone mix had an 'odd' odor when opening the bag. Mix, kneaded, and baked it according to the box directions and the appearance of the scones looked wonderful but the taste was 'off.' It was slightly bitter and the strong odor was still in the scone. Used a lot of jelly to 'disguise' the strong odor. Not sure if the orange flavoring used contributed to the odor and taste of this scone. Will stick with the tried and true Fisher's Original Fair Scone mix and add my own condiments.

Iam a long time Fisher Scone mix addict. This is the first time, however, with anything but the original recipe which I modified with my own fresh pecans, orange zest, and dried apricots. We just baked our first batch this morning and while good it is too early to provide a final report. Fisher scone mix are a favorite of the family, so I will be back for more.

This mix makes a light, fluffy scone. Add a little frosting or some jam and you've made a terrific breakfast treat.
