For thirty bucks it delivers way more power and performance than any other system out there. A sound bar does not come with subwoofer, this one does. Zvox is so over priced, I bought one and returned. This one is to stay.I use it as an iPhone/iPod speaker system for my living room, its more than perfect. I tried iPod docks but none has enough power to feel the power of music. I don't feel like its big, like other reviewer mentioned, well it has integrated subwoofer for goodness sake! The only feature missing is auto sleep and wake up, but for the price, I have no heart to complain. Another point to note is it comes with AC to DC adapter, I wish they put the adapter inside, but again, for the sound it gives, no heart to complain. It has optical and coaxial input, capable of processing 5.1 sound. I am one super happy customer.

I'll admit that I only bought this because it was the only active speaker system I can find with a digital audio input. The price only guaranteed that I wouldn't be pissed if it was crappy.Where do I start? I am so impressed with this speaker. I am using it in my bedroom, connected to my Panasonic 26" 720p TV--which only had an optical audio out. I'm also using it with my AppleTV which has digital audio out. This speaker has analog & digital audio inputs (optical & coax). For a bedroom, the sound quality is great. No room shaking bass, but, it performs well with R&B, Jazz, and action packed tv/movies...e.g., 24, LOST, etc. It does have it's issues. The remote feels cheap (I know, right?), but, you use it to switch between audio inputs, control volume, and mute/standby. Also, it's very big at 16 x 12 x 6. Everyone will not be able to incorporate this into their living space. For me, necessity is the father of invention, so, I'll work it out. Update (2/26/10): Okay, I've had it a couple of weeks I think, and some things kinda bug me. The electronics in this device aren't very integrated, or smart. For example, if you mute the speaker, then, press the volume up or down, it doesn't un-mute. Also, it you turn the power off, and then back on, the speaker doesn't remember your audio source (if it's a digital source, at least). I also have to click two or three times before the speaker responds to the remote press. I'm surprised Fisher was trying to sell this speaker for hundreds of dollars. In summary, I'm still satisfied with the sound output, and again, this is the only integrated active speaker system I found with a digital audio input. That and the price make this a worthy option, despite its flaws.

Speaker was easy to install, just plug audio into the TV and power up. Great as a primary or secondary speaker system, cheaper than other TV speaker systems. The Fisher spks are heavy and a bit bulky; you would need space for it. So far no problems and love the 5.1 sound for my TV.
