I own the original teaching clock and still have it, my daughter loves mine and so I bought her this one thinking it would make a good replacement - WRONG! This toy is a complete piece of junk in every way! The stickers are peeling off the plastic (yes, plastic not wood like the original), the clock doesn't sound like the original in that it's lost it's characteristic TICK TOCK sound that made it so sweet, and within seconds of testing the toy out, we were able to somehow break the clock's ability to keep the hands and clock face spinning as the music played. This is a horrendous p.o.s. do not waste your time, we are taking ours back. BOOOO!

I agree with the other review of this item. I had this clock as a child and the original is far superior to this version. The decals immediately started peeling off and I too miss the tick tock sound of the original. They cut too many corners with this product. Very cheaply reproduced. Will look for an original on ebay.

I was disappointed when I received this toy clock. I love the original wooden one and was hoping it was a very close match.

This new remake is made of light weight plastic and the decals are not one solid piece on the base which leaves open seams. The sides of the bottom base contains no decals at all.

Another downfall is that this clock does not have the tick-tock sound like the original. It does play the same song but is missing that wonderful tick-tock melody in the background.
