5.0 out of 5 stars Sesame Street Snging Pop Up Pals a good value
This toy is best for a child who is at least one year old, as it's hard for a child younger than that to learn the four different hand movements needed to activate the Sesame Street characters (Ernie, Elmo, Cookie Monster, and Oscar). However, it's a very good manipulative/educational toy, and the sound quality is good, too.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good Concept but Not Long Lasting
My son got this toy for Christmas this year and he really loved it. However, very quickly it stopped working properly. He would hit the buttons to open the doors and the characters did not always sing. Ernie has stopped working all together. It is too bad because my son really got alot of satisfaction when he pushed a button and the music would start. He would start...

He would start clapping and waving his arms. Now, he barely touches this toy. I would not recommend this item because it is not durable.

5.0 out of 5 stars 1 yr old and 4 yr old both love it!, June 24, 2006

My son received this as a gift for his 1st birthday in May. He constantly lugs it from the shelf, onto my lap and we play with this for 15-20 minutes at a time! It DOES have some educational value, because he knows who is who when I ask him!

I also have a 4 yr old daughter and she will take it off the shelf and play with it on her own too. She likes to sing along with each of the characters.

It has delays when you press the button sometimes, but no big deal. It keeps my 1yr old occupied, makes him laugh, and it's the one toy on the shelf both siblings can play with together successfully!

Highly recommended for any kids 12 mos and up!

We got this for Christmas for our then 9 month old son. He loves pop up toys and he only had an older one with no music or sounds. He loves the music on this and enjoys seeing the characters. We have not had any problem with the doors not opening or music not playing. Sometimes the music doesn't play when the doors open, but only because you have to hold it down a little when you press it and my son doesn't understand that concept. I think it works fine though, that's how it was brand new. Very fun toy, great if your baby likes pop ups.

My daughter immediately loved this toy and has gotten more and more dextrous at each of the controls. The easiest is the cookie monster button but she is starting to get the toggle and switch as well. The characters are cute, the music is just the right amount. It is a great toy for a toddler.

My 19 month old loves this toy.. The buttons were easy to push and the doors easy to close for her. She loves the brief songs that each play.. Each play a brief version of the character's song.. Elmo- Elmo's World; Ernie- Rubber Ducky; Cookie Monster- C is for cookie; Oscar- I Love Trash.. She plays with this toys for hours at time and even asks for me to interact with her..

This toy is very cute, especially if your child watches sesame street, but my 1 year old lost interest in it quickly. The pop ups should say more different things.

I actually found this toy at a thrift store HAA LOL...in Perfect condition. After a little disinfectant it was good as new. The characters are great! Love how they use Cookie,Ernie & Oscar and of coarse Elmo! When you and (or baby) press the buttons the doors pop open with each character using their own voice to sing thier song... For instance Oscar's voice is my favorite... he sings "Oh I love trash, anything dirty or dingy or dusty...Hehh heehh hehhh" (in his grouchy laugh) It's SO hilariuos my parents even got a real kick out of it & now want to get one for my nephew.Just ADORABLE! my 6 month old son LOVES to press the buttons Cookie is the easiest one for him to accidentally press by himself....He starts batting it & closes the doors. Helps a lot with gross motor skills. I highly recommend this toy!

This product is very fun and great for kids up to 5 years of age even. However, it is not made very well and quickly stops working properly. Cookie Monster's door doesn't open anymore and Oscar the Grouch doesn't sing when he's supposed to.

My 13 month old loves this toy! She can do the buttons herself and cackles everytime the doors pop open. We have had this toy for about two months and it is still going strong.
