We started using this for tummy time at about 3 months, and our little guy has been enthralled with it ever since. He would reach over and try to touch it and this really helped him learn to turn over. Now at 4.5 months he just can't get enough of it and plays with it daily. It was a gift and we NEVER thought we'd get so much use out of it. HIGHLY recommend!!!

This toy is delightful and my 5 month old baby adores it. She laughs and becomes excited whenever I put the toy next to her. It also prevents her from throwing a fit during tummy time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I bought this for my daughter when she was 2 1/2 months old, she played with it until she was about 9 1/2 months old. She really loved this toy and it really helped her learn to crawl. I purchased this from Target for $14.99 and in my mind it was worth every penny.

This is a video of her playing with it. [...]

When I first purchased this toy my daughter was not liking tummy time very much at all. She HATED to be on her stomach and would get so mad and cry. We tried everything to help her enjoy tummy time but nothing worked. Finally I tried this, even though it was beyond her age level, thinking that if nothing else she could look at herself in the mirror and at the flashing lights. It worked! Instead of spending only a minute or so on her belly she was spending a full 10 minutes at a time, then 30, then soon after that we couldn't get her to lay on her back! She was crawling all over the house!

She didn't really 'chase' the snail like it says they can do very often. Sometimes I would roll it and she would go after it though. She would just lay on her belly and laugh at the mirror. When she was sitting up on her own she would lay the snail on its back and spin it around the mirror. Or push it back and forth. Or teeth on the antennae. Or just hit it like a drum. She didn't really play with the ladybug either. But she loved the music and the talking and the lights. For a baby toy she played with it for a really long time considering some of her other ones have only held her interest for 2 weeks.

It is very durable, the mirror never scratched and she used to hit it with a wooden spoon. It was easy to clean with an antibacterial wipe, and we never had to buy batteries for it. The batteries that came in it from the store are the same ones in there today.

This is one of my son's favorite toys! At 3 months old, he would lay on his back or tummy and stare into the mirror. At 5 months old, he enjoyed reaching out to the toy and making it play music. Now at 8 months old he scoots after the toy as it rolls away from him. Beware - the sensor on this toy is highly sensitive and a jackhammer three houses away set it off.

This toy is amazing. I got it for baby grandson because of the mirror. When he first got it he was a month old and not ready. My daughter figured it would be something for when he is older. He is now 2 months old and had discovered the baby in the mirror, so my daughter put it in the crib with him just to see and he was waving his arms around and found out when you touch it, it makes noise. Now after just a few days, he knows and is intentionally batting at it. The toy has other activities that can be done, so they are looking forward to months with this new favorite toy.

Our older daughter (now 3.5) had one of these when she was a baby, but it must have been placed in a donate pile on accident. now that our 2nd is about 6 months, I hunted everywhere for one, but couldn't find it in-store. Thankfully, Amazon has everything you need and more. Came right away, easy packaging, ready to go. (Didn't even need to hunt for batteries!)

Even though my dreams are yet again haunted by "weeeeee" noises, I'm glad we bought a replacement! The mirror is surprisingly clear and durable for an inexpensive infant toy. Both girls play with it now, and I do think it helps encourage tummy time and rolling over. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone with a 4m+ baby or so.

One note: It doesn't roll on it's on, but the whole head/tail can spin completely around the green body, so you can push along the whole thing and it will roll around.

Also: turn it off when not being used. It's actually a really sensitive motion sensor. There were a few times with our first that the snail randomly went off MOTN and scared the beejesus out of my husband and I. (and the resident dogs...)

This is by far my baby's favorite toy. He can be crying his face off and if i turn this on, without fail he will stop crying immediately and attack it.

He has been playing with from 3 to 6 months and is still very interested in it.

I thought this snail was supposed to crawl, and he would chase it, but it doesn't. The snail doesn't crawl! In spite of this, like i said... his favorite toy

My son didn't like tummy time very much, but this toy got him more interested in it. Now he loves tummy time (6 mos old), and this is one of his favorite toys. He loves to look in the mirror, and it encourages his movement because he bats it away from himself, so he has to go get it. He began rolling a lot in order to get closer to this toy. He likes to pick it up and chew on the snail's antennae, too. This is one of the best toy purchases I've made, and I would recommend it to any parent struggling with tummy time in their newborn or infant.
