The granddaughter is fond of Elmo but was even more fond of pulling the fur off of her Elmo dolls with her teeth and swallowing it. Something had to be done. This Elmo is a little less authentic but certainly a lot safer. She still loves it, even without the fur.
Seemed a bit expensive but probably worth it considering the potential cost of fur balls in the digestive tract.

I LOVE Elmo, having no kids of my own, I try to give everyone an Elmo at some point early in their development. This is a gift for my 7 month old niece...wanted one that made sound just to annoy the parents...but this will be more age appropriate.
