5.0 out of 5 stars This is a great golf set for little ones!
I bought this for my son and he loves it. I have seen other ones and they are not as durable as this one. Very real looking for an early learner.

1.0 out of 5 stars Waste of money
My 3 yr. old received this as a gift. It would not stay together so my husband had to "modify" it the best he could. It still kept falling apart so into the trash it finally went.

My son received this set for his 3rd birthday. Two years later, we still have it and he still plays with it. I'm not sure what the problem is with the 'lack of durability' comments. My son has thrown it around yard and hit on it with the clubs with no problems of it falling apart. We were able to order replacement balls from Fisher Price with no problems. The clubs have finally cracked so I'm looking into order replacement clubs now. This is a great toy!

My daughter got this for christmas when she was 2 1/2 and she loved it from day one. Her daddy is a avid golfer and they have logged countless hours in the back yard together hitting the balls around. The educational value is great for hand eye and for patience. Also for sharing and taking turns when the other kids come over and want to play with it. ( they love it!!) As far as the durability..... if my daughter ( RAMBOETTE) can distroy something she will and it has held up beautifully. not a problem one. Found that regular golf balls work in it also wiffle balls and ping pong balls also to solve the missing ball delema. I am getting 4 of them for my nephews so that we can have our own golf tournie!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Buy the Little Tikes Set instead, August 29, 2008

The ball drop mechanism is clever but the kids are more than likely just going to hit the ball from where it lays. The biggest dissapointment is that the clubs slide out at the bottom of the back. As in they don't stay standing up at all, you put them in and they stay in the holes at the top of course but slide off the ledge at the back and touch the ground. It is totally annoying. Dumbest design flaw I've ever seen.

Buy the one from Little Tikes instead, we got lucky and found one at a yardsale. Love it! You can fit more than 2 clubs in it and it comes with these cute little goal cups to aim at.

Don't buy this

My son received this for his 2 year birthday, and it was a hug hit!!! He loves it as well as his 5 year old sister. They both like the ball release mechanism that is very durable! A great toy! We are missing balls though and I am searching for replacements.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ethan's Granddad, May 28, 2007

Bought this for my Grandson for his second birthday...HE LOVES IT! We had some simple assembly to get started. Then he figured out where to put his clubs and the balls. After showing him how to pull the lever to release a ball on the tee, he was all over it. He would pull the lever, release the ball from the bag, it would sit right up on the tee, and he would hit away. He'd then gather the balls, put them back in the bag and start the process over. He even likes to take a club and ball with him for his nightly bath. Although primarily an outside toy, it is also safe to use indoors and around pets and other children. I couldn't be more pleased and neither could my Grandson.

Our son is only 20 mos. old and he's totally figured this one out. He loves anything with balls and the outdoors. He figured out how the ball drop feature works and can actually hit the ball with the club. The clubs are a little big for him, but he doesn't care. I love that there is storage for everything.

We've purchased other sports toys and this one is pretty realistic. We will probably take this to the range next time.

pros:
-no batteries required
-stores very well with everything having a place
-ball size is good and so are the clubs

cons:
-doesn't come with a 'hole' but anything can be a target
-ball dispenser is a bit difficult to operate

I returned this item because it was difficult to assemble, the wheels didn't turn, and the golf clubs fell out of an opening in the back of the cart.
