I bought this book based on reviews and stars left by other Amazon customers. I wasn't as happy with it as I thought I would be. I think it is "ok". The touch areas of the book are sort of on the small side and lack some texture (most smooth or nearly flat areas), which was a disappointment. The cover is furry, which the inside lacks (gives a false impression of what is on the inside). It dosen't hold my daughter's attention as well as some other books. The story is simple-but it dosen't rhyme. Babies and kids love stories that rhyme. It is almost difficult to read this book out loud after you read a rhyming book, because you are in the mode of rhyming-and it just dosen't flow with this book. Maybe we will warm up to it after more time passes-I will still read it to her.I do think the graphics in this book are are colorful and fun. If you are looking for a touch and feel type book-I recommend "I See A Monster". It isn't scary (as one may think based on the title). It has bumpy, hairy, rough, furry and soft areas. The touch areas are much larger, it rhymes, the artwork is colorful and it has a suprise mirror at the end. My daughter just loves it! It is available at Amazon, and at Wal-Mart for a little less.

My daughter loves the Rainforest monkey. This is a cute book. She's 6 months old and sees to like it, as long as I keep turning it back to the monkey.

The book is cute. I got it because she loves the monkey in her rainforest activity mat. But she's 5 months old and too young to appreciate the book. If she loves it when she's older, I will comment again.

Another great book, that my son loved. He really liked the feel of the different textures, and we also went through colors. He is now 'teaching' his smaller cousins about colors and textures. It is really cute to see his little hands guiding other little hands over the different things in the book.

Great Price for an awesome touch-& feel book! My niece is going to enjoy this book as a Christmas gift. All infants enjoy the ability to feel the different textures with these books!

My 1 year old loves this book. She touches each page on the textured spot every time we turn through it. I like to read it to her and then let her turn back through the pages to touch the ones she wants again. The furry monkey and elephant are the favorites. She also likes to look for the red frog that appears on a couple pages. The story is short but at this point she isn't that interested in the story anyway, more interested in the pictures and textures.

Baby girl loves the book, so it's good enough for me. Of course, she likes to munch on it more than anything, but I've been impressed with its durability. The content is actually fun too, but if for no other reason, since it's been able to stand up to some pretty lengthy "mouth time", I give it 5 stars.
