My 9 month son absolutely loves this toy. I had doubts about it holding his interest since he loves to play with all of his "bigger" toys, but he can sit and play with this zoo for 30 minutes, just sitting and hitting the buttons to make the path spin and music play. He smiles as big as possible each and every time.
My son has also used it to help stand up many times, and has not had the problems someone else has posted about with his son being injured on it. As another poster stated, accidents can happen with any toy, and knowing that my son likes to use this toy to stand up, I am usually very close nearby as he plays with it. I also love the music it plays. The songs are cute and talk about all of the animals at the zoo. Volume control is always a nice feature on toys with repetitive music. I like that the animals are on wheels so that he can play with the animals without the rest of the toy, especially as he gets older.

My son is 23 months and absolutely loves this toy! First, he enjoys the 4 little animals that came with it. They have little wheels on the bottom of them so he can roll the on the floor as well as on the toy. On 3 of them the head moves and makes a clicking sound-which he seems to enjoy. There are 3 different buttons to push to make the music start and I think having "options" makes the toy more fun. There are about 3 other little movable toys that you only discover after playing with the toy for a little while. I think all the fun little "surprises" to discover is another thing that makes this toy so appealing. From a parent's perspective, the music from the toy is not as annoying as some toys. I enjoy the songs that the toy plays. And, it has a volume control which we keep on low. My only complaint is that I think the price is a little high. I would expect a toy such as this to be more in the 30.00 range.

My son has owned this for one month now. He turns one tomorrow. So far, the toy is holding up great & my son is ROUGH with it. He stands on it because he wants to spin around, too! Fortunately, the spinner keeps working once he steps off of it. The little animals are cute and durable as well. The music is catchy. There are several ways to get the spinner to go and it was easy enough for my son to figure out. Overall, he's still pretty interested in it and it hasn't driven the family crazy yet.

My son likes this toy. But I think its a little too mature for him (he is 6 months). He just likes the music and grabs the penguin. When he is older maybe he'll actually put the animals on the ramp and actually "play" with it. I got it on clearance at Target, it's really cute but all things considered I wouldn't pay full price for it.
*Update* My son is now almost 1 year old and he still plays with this toy. It is very durable as he stands on it all the time and it still moves around. I recommend this toy more now then when he was only 6 months old.

On face, this toy has it all. It's got animals. It's got things that move around, things that spin, things that have wheels. It's got music and sounds.
Here's what I liked about it: the volume is adjustable and the animals are decent for playing outside of the zoo. A couple of them have heads that move (and a couple don't which is inconsistent but whatever). There are a couple things to move or toggle which can be great for someone <24 months. Here's what I didn't care for: While the volume is adjustable, it's still too darn loud. We taped over the speaker to make it reasonable. If you turn off the music, you turn off the whole thing, so no rotating pathway without music. The lyrics are terrible. We've got other fisher price toys in the house, and they're sung by someone with a better voice and way better lyrics. The lyrics on this one are things like "some animals are tall! others really small!" It sounds like a bad Toyota commercial. Really, the rhymes were probably written on a napkin in a taxicab. Huge thumbs down. The part that rotates doesn't include the ramp area, so that's a bit misleading. If you don't use the rotation and the music, ther'es not much left. Maybe the alligator that clicks when you move its head, but otherwise there are pieces you can move but nothing to them. The educational value of this is negligible at best. The lyrics are not substantive so you're not going to learn anything about animals from them. A giraffe on wheels sounds cool but obviously is not educational either. It's a toy for sure. But man, there are better ones out there for this money.

I love this toy because it is something that my 24 month old and 6 month old can play together! They love the different options for sound and the wheels on the animals. My older son loves to put other items like little people and cars to watch them spin too. I realize the other reviewer feels this product is dangerous but I can think of very few toys that my kids have that wouldn't hurt if my child fell on them. It is unfortunate that it happened and kids in general are klutzy but I don't think this toy is any more dangerous to fall on than say, the little people barn. I do think it is a good idea if your child is in the just learning to sit or just learning to stand/walk stage that you sit with them for this toy.

My mother in law gave this to my son for his first birthday, I wasn't very pleased at the time thinking that he was too old and that it was big and garish. While it is big and garish he wasn't too old and it proved to be one of his favorite gifts. It went away for about a year and is now out for our second baby to play with. It think it is more age appropriate for her at 6 months as she is new to sitting and it does not actually move beyond spinning, but she loves hitting the button and sucking on the animals.
It is noisy despite having 2 settings and the song gets old really fast, I might try to cover the speaker as another reviewer suggested. It has amused both my kids and I think pulled it's weight even if it was big to store between babies.

This toy consists of animals with wheels and a little rattling penguin that you put on a platform so you can watch them spin around. I don't think that's worth the price at all. My kids love the little animals but wouldn't touch the platform part. Basically, I payed a lot of money for 3 rolling animals and a penguin rattle. The songs this thing plays are really annoying as well. I think they should skip the rest of this toy and just sell the rolling animals for a cheaper price. They are cute and kids really do like them. I would save my money and just get my kid something else. The animals already have wheels. I don't know why they need to be spinning around on a platform anyway.

Our 9 month old daughter received this toy for Christmas, and she has already gotten a lot of use out of it. It does a great job of keeping her entertained. I also like that it has options. She can play with the different animals in different ways, and even make up new ways. I feel it allows her to be more creative. The music is cute, and the colors are great. She has also flipped it over, kicked it, and dropped things on it, none of which has caused any damage - very durable.

I purchased this toy for my grandson, who is just shy of 4 months, for Christmas. For tummy time, he LOVES to look at the spinning animals and hear the sounds. We sit and touch the animals as I describe each one. Truly a great toy. I can't wait for him to sit on his own and actually play with this on his own in a few months.
