Product Description

Product Packaging: Frustration-Free Packaging

The learn to flush potty has it all and is even more deluxe than our very popular cheer for me potty. The real fun is in the flushing action. When the child flushes the potty, the tank water feature lights up and pretend water twirls around to a real flushing sound and cheerful yay. Moreover, there are musical ditties and sound effects that reward the child for going in the potty bowl, thus encouraging toilet training. There is a grow with me element as the removable potty ring can be used on the adult toilet as baby grows. There is a built in potty guard and smooth contours for easy cleaning and is just the right height for a potty training child. Finally, the design is styled with realistic colors and shapes and is the perfect gender neutral potty.

My daughter (almost three) LOVES this thing. She will pee on it literally every 5 minutes, squeezing out the tiniest drops just to make it sing. Which is awesome, if you don't mind dumping, rinsing, and drying it out all the time. I don't mind; anything to get her toilet trained for preschool.

A couple of things: you HAVE to dry it out after each use or it will just. keep. singing.

It will also, randomly, start singing at, say, 3am. At top volume (since there's only one volume). And if this thing is in the bathroom by your bedroom, for example, you might begin to become hostile toward your daughter's special potty friend.

So it works, as far as getting my kid to want to use the potty instead of her drawers. But I can't give it more than 3 stars because the thing drives me nuts.

I like this potty because the seat is made well, there no where that a little boy can get pinched. There is enough room for his little bottom and it is a nice height for a just turned 3yr old. The reward system is very encouraging. I laughed at my son's first expression when he did #1 in it. His face went from shock to awe to giggles. He even did a little dance to the song while he sat on the seat. It was so cute. Now he wants to bring his potty EVERYWHERE! lol.

He was partially trained before on the adult toilet (can do #1 but having a little trouble with the #2 part); as the adult toilet is still too difficult for him to get on and off. Plus I think the big bowl kind of scares him even with a trainer seat on. The other potties I tried were too small or narrow, more designed for girls I think.

So this little potty that looks just like the adult one is much more encouraging. It is sturdy and well made. I am so glad we decided to get it.

As I wrote this little review, he just went all by himself! I can hear the little tune playing and he came to me for a High-Five! Yay! lol.

The Fisher Price Learn-to-Flush Potty is basically a standard potty-training toilet with two reinforcing features. When urine makes contact with the electrodes at the bottom of the potty, a congratulatory sound is made. This gives the child immediate positive feedback. The second feature is the flush, which when activated causes the LEDs in the back of the toilet to light up and a sound to be played. So far this has made the potty more of a distraction to my two year old than a potty training tool. I do anticipate; however, that the sounds and light will serve as fun positive feedback as he learns.

My daughter used a previous generation of a fisher price training potty that actually had water in the "tank," where this one has LEDs. The water ended up eventually drying out and making the tank look ugly. I think that this version is a definite improvement.

The potty runs on batteries, which are included and preinstalled. So the potty works straight out of the box.

The only mistake I made when buying this training potty was buying only one..... I'm potty training twin two year old boys and there have been non stop fights over this potty since I bought it last week. We were using our older son's hand me down training potty as the 2nd option but it has no exaggerated lip to keep messes down, no music, no lights and the collection cup is easy for them to remove. It makes you appreciate what this potty brings to the table to see an inferior product sitting right next to it. It's a tough part of raising multiples when you have to buy two of almost everything and $50 for two training toilets was a bit to absorb but for anyone who has potty trained twins......you cannot put a price tag on your sanity. They love to make the music come on, they love the lights and the flushing sounds....if anything it almost works too well as they both now refuse to wear diapers and spend most of their day sitting on the potties next to each other having those twin conversations. Easy to put together, simple design but lots of features. This one is a winner

Our 2.5 year old daughter is, probably like most kids, fascinated with a toilet and pooh and going. We are taking toilet training easy, letting her go at her own pace. She likes this toilet a lot compared to other sound toilets. It does a good job of simulating water and a flushing sound. And one added feature are 2 sensors that can detect when she has used it and they play an encouraging/ celebration song.

Within 10 minutes of getting it though before we even knew this feature, she had taken out the rim and the bowl and started pushing the contacts herself to get the song going. But she has also enjoyed hearing the song when she goes.

Lastly the blue rim fits on to a standard toilet seat and can be used there as well. You need to jimmy it in, in the front but then it is very secure and works well. Should toilet training be fun? I think so, and this potty helps. Recommended.

We had been "toying" with potty training for a while, he had a Cars red potty that leaked when he peed and he had the seats that go on the big boy potty. We decided to do the full 2 day potty training on a saturday/sunday. My husband decided on this toilet (Target) and at first I was skeptical since we had all the other seats. After he sat on it the very first time and peed--- worth every penny! It has a liquid sensor, so when he pees- it sings a song! I don't have to sit there and watch like a hawk to see if he is going, the toilet will tell us! Flushing it is fun...it swirls around water, lights up and plays a quick song. The 2nd best part- It does NOT leak! For boys- this is big. The interior green bowl comes up and you can dump into the toilet (which my tot enjoys doing- awesome that he wants to clean up). Just keep some sanitary wipes handy to wipe it down each time. The songs are not annoying- short, fun, and to the point. This price is cheaper than Target- FYI. My husband did read reviews that the toilet will come on in the middle of the night and play songs... I know a bunch of toys that do this...we just make sure we turn it off :)
