Product Description

Editorial Review
There's lots to see, hear, and do with this toy that will foster the developmental skills of a toddler. When little ones push one of the five plastic balls through the hole at the top of this tower, lights flash and music plays. From there the ball travels down a spiral path all the way to the bottom--unless your toddler chooses to redirect it with the dial on the side of the ramp. Some babies will simply enjoy watching the ball swirl down the ramp. But as babies get a bit older, they will also be able to observe and anticipate the action of the balls and realize that their actions have an effect on where the balls go. How cool is that? For a toddler, very cool! One drawback to this toy is that it probably isn't sturdy enough or heavy enough for babies or toddlers to use it to pull themselves from a sitting to a standing position, though the "Pull-up" portion of the name implies that's possible. There's plenty more to do with this toy, so that is only a minor consideration.

Product Description
Your little one will have a blast learning to sit, pull up and stand with this colorful ball playset that's got plenty of action. From a sitting or standing position, baby can drop one of six colorful balls into a chute and watch it roll down the spiraling track and out one of the four openings in the base. Sturdy grab handles help baby pull up to a standing position, while dancing lights, music and fun sound effects reward physical accomplishments. The convenient On/off switch and volume control lets Mom and Dad control the fun. Requires 3 "AA" alkaline batteries (not included).

CAUTION - This package contains small parts which are FOR ADULT ASSEMBLY ONLY. Tool needed - Phillips screwdriver (not included).

4.0 out of 5 stars Careful of the wobbly version, January 9, 2002
By Michelle Scott (Hunt Valley, MD USA) - See all my reviews
Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
Over all this is a great toy. The lights and baby dance-club music really entertain. Lots of learning to be done, dropping the balls, watching where they end up. BUT BE CAREFUL! We bought this toy as a gift for our neice, and received one as a gift for our 10 month old son. They are different! The one we bought for our neice looks just like the one in the illustration. The minute the child tries to pull up on it, it tips over. It caused a few bumps and lots of tears in our house. A little one, not firm in their standing, simply can't play with it without hurting themselves by falling over.

The one we received as a gift for our son has an added, extended base. It barely wobbles now when he pulls himself up on it. MUCH better than the older model. Just a word of warning to parents with little ones learning to pull up, try to check out the model before you buy it. Seems those in the retail (brick & morter) stores are the newer models, online tends to still have the more dangerous/wobbly model.

5.0 out of 5 stars This toy is my daughter's favorite!, August 30, 2001

We are getting ready to celebrate my daughter's first birthday, but we bought this toy for her when she was about 9 months old. For three months this has been her absolute favorite toy. The balls are the perfect size for her to grab and she loves putting them in all the different holes. When the music comes on she bobs up and down and swings her arms. She gets so excited! It is an absolute joy to watch her play with this toy.
My daughter has used this toy to practice pulling up, but she very rarely applies enough force to pull it down on top of her. The toy is light weight enough that the few times it has toppled, it did not hurt her in any way.
I would highly recommend this toy to any parents that have active babies. It serves as great entertainment for long periods of time, and the music is fun for adults too!

3.0 out of 5 stars Fun - but can be dangerous..., November 9, 2003
By A Customer
Durability:4.0 out of 5 stars Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars Educational:4.0 out of 5 stars
My little boy loves this toy. If it involves balls, he is all over it. However, it is NOT a toy to leave a child with unsupervised.

My then 12 month old would stick his hand, then his whole arm down the openings around the top, where they would usually grasp onto to stand up. He would be unable to extract his arm, and in a panic he would lose his balance and fall over. This happened more than once while I was with him in the room with my back turned. You can imagine the fear and pain it could cause a child if the parent or caregiver werent there for immediate assistance.

He still plays with it, as it is his favorite toy, but never unless one of us is right there monitoring him. I want to give this toy 5 stars for fun, but that danger factor needs to be considered.
