Over all this is a great toy. The lights and baby dance-club music really entertain. Lots of learning to be done, dropping the balls, watching where they end up. BUT BE CAREFUL! We bought this toy as a gift for our neice, and received one as a gift for our 10 month old son. They are different! The one we bought for our neice looks just like the one in the illustration. The minute the child tries to pull up on it, it tips over. It caused a few bumps and lots of tears in our house. A little one, not firm in their standing, simply can't play with it without hurting themselves by falling over. The one we received as a gift for our son has an added, extended base. It barely wobbles now when he pulls himself up on it. MUCH better than the older model. Just a word of warning to parents with little ones learning to pull up, try to check out the model before you buy it. Seems those in the retail (brick & morter) stores are the newer models, online tends to still have the more dangerous/wobbly model.

We are getting ready to celebrate my daughter's first birthday, but we bought this toy for her when she was about 9 months old. For three months this has been her absolute favorite toy. The balls are the perfect size for her to grab and she loves putting them in all the different holes. When the music comes on she bobs up and down and swings her arms. She gets so excited! It is an absolute joy to watch her play with this toy.My daughter has used this toy to practice pulling up, but she very rarely applies enough force to pull it down on top of her. The toy is light weight enough that the few times it has toppled, it did not hurt her in any way. I would highly recommend this toy to any parents that have active babies. It serves as great entertainment for long periods of time, and the music is fun for adults too!

I bought this for my daughter when she was 8 months old and she showed no interest in it at all. When she was 9 months she loved to pull herself up and hit the button to hear the music. When she was 10 months old she loved to stand by it and push the balls in, Now at 11 months it is one of the few toys she plays with for more than 10 min. She chases the balls around and even has figured out the knob on the side that changes the directions. She dances to the music and looks for the balls to come out. KEEPS HER ATTENTION! The only thing was it did tip over when she first started using it and she would hit her head on the floor but a toy I almost took back has been one of the best toys yet. She has learned how to use her hand eye cordination and she has learned to stand and dance. I would recommend it to anyone but keep and eye on the smaller children and hold the base down so they don't get hurt;)

I am ashamed of Fisher Price with this toy. The bottom of the toy is so light, any baby who cannot walk over to it will tip it over. It should NOT be advertised as a pull-up toy. The manufacturer should make the bottom heavy enough that a 20 lb baby can pull down on the ledge as she tries to pull herself up, and it should not tip over. It's a shame, because my daughter loved to play with this, but she kept hurting herself!

My little boy loves this toy. If it involves balls, he is all over it. However, it is NOT a toy to leave a child with unsupervised. My then 12 month old would stick his hand, then his whole arm down the openings around the top, where they would usually grasp onto to stand up. He would be unable to extract his arm, and in a panic he would lose his balance and fall over. This happened more than once while I was with him in the room with my back turned. You can imagine the fear and pain it could cause a child if the parent or caregiver werent there for immediate assistance. He still plays with it, as it is his favorite toy, but never unless one of us is right there monitoring him. I want to give this toy 5 stars for fun, but that danger factor needs to be considered.

My son LOVES this toy!It is the one toy he plays with every day, hours on end. He actually taught himself how to stand using this toy. This is one of the best toys I have bought for my son! A wonderful gift for a new mother or mother-to-be.

This toy was very good for my son when he was learning to pull himself up. It helped him to keep steady. He also began to understand the concepts of cause and effect. I put the ball in here, it comes out over here. But he soon lost interest in it after he started walking. There were only so many times he could put the ball in the hole and watch it roll down. It became boring for him and he moved on to other toys that stimulated his mind a lot more. I only recommend this toy for babies 6-12 months, after that, they move on to bigger (and better) toys.

This toy is noisy, lights up, and little one's love it. We loved it too, until our little girl got her arm trapped in one of the holes on top. This toy is recomended for an age group that still easily loses balance...

We bought this for our son Dylan in August, for his 1st birthday. While he loves this toy (but only the music bit--he could care less about the balls), its not a steady toy to pull up on. It wobbles easily, and he's fallen a few times trying to pull himself up on it. I've also heard from other moms with the same problem. Also, watch your assembly carefully--I followed the directions exactly, but the ramps didn't line up with the ball holes. My husband had to pry the whole thing apart and start again. Its a fun toy, but I've heard of lots of them being returned. Most of Dylan's play group loved the Ball Blast, but we were always around to catch one of them when they fell. My advice is to get it, but only play with it when you are on the floor with them!

I purchased this when my son started to pull himself up on the furniture. I thought this would be great because he loves anything musical and things that roll. The first thing I discovered when I put it together is it's a bit tricky. Be patient when attaching the spiral as the pieces don't line up properly at first. It is quite durable, but I think it's unstable for babies who haven't quite gotten their balance yet. I had to hold on to the top whenever my son tried to pull up on it to play so it wouldn't topple over. Now that he's had a little practice, I don't have to anymore. He's learning cause and effect when placing the balls into the top and pushing them through to hear the music, and that he has to reach down and pick the balls up in order to keep hearing the music. He's also learning not every toy he owns will work with the Ball Blast. Blocks definately won't fit and roll down the track. At first, it didn't seem to interest him too much, but as he learned how to play with it, the time is increasing. I would recommend this toy when your baby has a better sense of balance just for safety sake.
