4.0 out of 5 stars My baby loves it
The meowing sound is cute, I don't find it annoying like some toys. My baby also get excited when it starts to vibrate and tries to pick it up. It is a little heavy but hey babies need a challenge. The feet are soft and my baby seems to enjoy chewing on it's ears.

It stood up to the abuse quite well :) He plays with it less now, but it was a great gift!

4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings about this toy, November 1, 2004

This toy rattles and shakes and makes a little bit of noise.

Our Physical Therapist suggested we buy it for our baby as a way to get some sensory input for him. He was very attracted to toys that vibrate and this one was easy for him to manipulate. The large heart shaped button was easy for little fingers to push.

This toy did what it was supposed to do for our son.

It was very sturdy and withstood some high falls from high chairs and cribs. It is cute and typically generated some smiles from my baby.

However, having said all of that- it is this type of toy that I try to stay away from in general. This toy does basically one thing- you push a button and it makes some noise and lights up. In this case it also shakes. But it really does not encourage exploration of the world around. It also isn't really educational. (Except in our case where it gave my baby some needed sensory stimulation and was suggested by a therapist.)
I also found that in time it became annoying because it made the same noises all the time. As my baby grew older he outgrew the need for this type of stimulation and quit playing with this toy.

Overall, I believe it's a cute toy and if your child will play with it then great. However, I would suggest some of the other toys available that are equally cute and much more longer lasting before you buy this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars great for cat lovers, November 1, 2005
This review is from: Bounce & Giggle Kitty (Toy)
Because we have cats, my husband and I purchased this before our son was born. Now at 15 months, he loves watching it bounce. He also loves our cats even though they don't let him get to close.

My teething 6 month old loves this toy because he can bite the ears and press his belly and it shakes and massages his gums!
Very cute toy.

My infant daughter received this when she was four months old. She loved it right away and it would instantly send her into giggles. It is adorable! It has great chew areas on the ears and the button that makes it work is HUGE, so no worries about little uncoordinated fingers not being able to work it.

For many months it was one of her favorite "must take it everywhere" toy. I didn't mind the song (it doesn't last long) and the vibration and meow was cute. After we had owned it for about four months, it stopped vibrating and playing the little song. We tried everything to get it to work again and for about a day we had it "fixed."

When it stopped vibrating, she lost interest and it has been over a year since she played with it. It will be in this spring's yard sale.

4.0 out of 5 stars Be careful of the ribbons!!, March 13, 2006

We brought this toy for our daughter when she was four months old. She loved the noise that it made and how it wiggled around. She is now 12months old and she still plays with it.

There is one problem that we had with this toy though. She would bite the ribbons that are on the top of the head and they started to come apart so we cut them off.

Other then that we love the toy.

i bought it for my 6 month old son; he loved it! He liked holding it while it vibrated and after a while he figured out how to push the button and make it meow/vibrate himself! He loves kitties.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Distraction Toy, March 30, 2004

This toy is probably intended for six month olds but my three month old daughter loves it aleady. No matter how fussy or cranky she may be as soon as she hears the kitty she gets easily distracted. She will even stop crying and start looking in the direction fron where the wiggly noise is coming. It is good for eye coordination for little babies.
