Product Description

Amazon.com

All toddlers love to go faster than their newly walking legs can carry them. On this great all-plastic, scoot-around toy, they can fulfill those desires to zip from one place to another. The 7-inch seat is wide enough for sitting stability, but easy for toddler legs to swing over. With a 15-inch wide front-wheel base, the bike won't tip easily, when being boarded or ridden, and the limited turning radius makes for easier steering. The ride-on toy stands 18 inches tall at the handle bars and 9 inches at the seat, and it measures 20 inches from front to back. --Richard Farr

Because of this he would push harder (trying to get where he wanted) in turn making him flip over the front.

We purchased this toy for our son when he was aged 17 months. The seat is low to the ground and my son is very tall for his age so we were concerned that he would be TOO tall....His height has never been an issue and at 36 in. tall, he rides the toy everyday.
Whomever came up with the design of this riding toy is a genius. With the narrow rear end of this rider, there's no need for little ones to maintain their balance as they kick their leg over the seat. Simply hop upon the rider from behind. My son owns two other riding toys and the fisher price is easily the most stable one.
Clearly, toddlers are unstable on their feet for a long while and no riding toy is completely spill proof. Should you purchase the toy and and the toodler be too unstable, set it aside for a month or so and try it again later. For the money, this rider toy simply can't be beat.

My daughter received the "ready steady ride on" (her "bike") by fisher price for her first birthday. It has been a godsend. Prior to getting her "bike," she was constantly trying to push chairs around to practice walking, and obviously couldn't get far. With her "bike," however, she is able to walk all over the house and has actually learned how to maneuver around furniture, increasing her problem-solving and spacial skills. Her "bike" also gave her the confidence she needed to begin walking. I would highly recommend this toy for toddlers.

My son got this toy on his first birthday and has really enjoyed it. Of all the ride on toys he received this one is the easiest to get on and off and to "drive" around the house. It has more stability than others like it. Easy assembly also!

My two year old had a tike bike when he was one year old and it would flip him over so easily. So when we bought a tike bike for our current one year old we looked for something more stable. We found it in this bike. She loves it and has never flipped over in it so far! It is colorful and easy to use. She is happy and so are we!

I bought this bike for my son's 1st b-day. It is nice and sturdy and it doesn't tip over easily which I liked. He is now 2 1/2 and still rides it with his older sister. If you are looking for a sturdy bike, this one's it. One thing to consider; if your child is short like my son still is, they may not be able to use it right away. My son's feet didn't reach the floor until he was a little older. Overall, I would highly recommend this bike.

Both my boys tried to ride this over and over with the same results. The ride-on is balanced so that a little too much pressure on the handle bars sends the kids over face first into the floor. I got tired of bruised faces and crying kids and got rid of it. Definitely disappointing.

I bought this for my son, who is 10 months old, and he loves it ! The first time I seated him on it his whole face lit up. Now he loves to ride on it and loves even more to have me zoom him around the room. He laughs so hard at times that he practically falls off. This is a great toy, very sturdy, very safe, and I would recommend it to anyone.

My son and I were both unhappy with this ride-on toy. My son is 17 months old and is 34 inches tall - his legs were just too long for this toy. Not to mention that when he tried to scoot along on it, his foot kept getting caught in the rear wheel (also I noticed that the wheels don't roll well at all). Overall, it was a bummer! If you have a much smaller child, I think this would work well, but if your child is a bit larger, I would not recommend it!
