It's okay,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Lil Snoopy (Colors May Vary) (Toy)
I like this dog because it's cute, but it's a very average toy. The dog doesn't stay upright when being pulled by the string. So usually my daughter is dragging the dog around on its back. However, she still enjoys dragging it around.

My 2 year old loves this toy. I haven't had the problems with it tipping over like the other reviews have said.

I have to wonder if Fisher-Price inadvertently switched the voice boxes for their choo-choo train and this little puppy. Instead of producing an "arf-arf," the best it can do is a "putt-putt." If you pull it in reverse--about as challenging for a tot as teaching a dog to walk backwards--the sound is altered in favor of a somewhat more "arfish" quality. The ears and tail move because they're loosely attached, not because of gears or mechanical coordination.
Anyway, my grand-daughter enjoyed pulling it (on its side) for a least a good five minutes, so it probably passes the most important reviewer's test.

Not as good as 'Sing Along Lil' Snoopy',

The only sound this dog makes is an anemic arf while the wheels are turning. It does not bark like a dog or bark the B-I-N-G-O song like 'Sing Along Lil' Snoopy'. I was hoping to get another Sing Along dog so my twins wouldn't fight over our one, but I was disappointed.

My youngest daughter got this for her 1st birthday (Dec 2010). She loved it as soon as she opened it. Both of my daughters have played with it off and on since. Last week, I let them watch Barney's ABCs dvd. On it is a dog named Gracie. Now my older daughter (3 1/2yr) has named this dog Gracie and it goes everywhere with her. She loves the happy face on the dog. I'm very pleased with this toy!!

Completely Useless,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Brilliant Basics Lil Snoopy (Colors May Vary) (Toy)
I bought this for my nieces and it was a complete waste of money. If you are an adult and can pull and walk smoothly, then it's great, but no toddler can pull it smoothly while walking at the same time. The toy immediately tips over and my nieces are instead dragging it across my hardwood floors, which a) upsets my nieces because they want to walk a dog the way grown ups do and are smart enough to know you don't just drag your dog along the sidewalk and b)it scratches my nice hardwood floors. We instead gave it to our 6 month old son, because at his age all he wants to do is bang things with his hands repeatedly. So it's about as functional as a plastic bucket but way more expensive.

I purchased this toy for my 15 month-old daughter because she became attached to it at the gym's daycare. I'd read complaints from others who'd purchased the dog that said the kids became frustrated that the dog would easily topple over, but I went for it anyway (at such a low price, why not?!). She spent the first HOUR with it when it arrived, walking it, arranging it back on its legs after toppling over, petting it, kissing it (we don't have dogs but it's a baby sign she likes to use around the neighborhood a lot), and asking us to walk it with her. It's so durable, too, that we've taken it with us to the grocery store, in the garden, and to the mall and it keeps her occupied with something constructive rather than wandering around aimlessly, or strapped helplessly into a stroller.
It's gotten regular attention for nearly two months now and is amongst her favorite toys. I love this dog too. :-)

My son LOVES this lil puppy toy. But as a parent I have 2 problems with it: 1) the string is a little too long, it wouldn't work as well if it was shorter, I realize, but it could still wrap around his neck so that concerns me. 2) like a previous review said, it does tip over all the time. I constantly turn it over for him but then it tips right back over very easily. I do like that this is a "basic" toy that dosen't require batteries, and that the noise is not loud at all. My son really likes it so overall I think this is a great toy. I just have to keep an eye on him while he plays with it.
