UPDATE-- 14 MONTHS OLD NOW AND SHE IS STILL LOVES THE BLOCK, NOW ITS FUN TO PULL THE BLOCKS OUT OF THE STORAGE AND STACK THEM. I BOUGHT ANOTHER ONE FOR MY NEPHEW. ENJOY!
We bought this toy for our 6 month. She was determined that she was going to stand so we thought that we might as well get her something to help her strenghten her legs. Her legs were to short for a walker so we thought that she would enjoy something flashy like this activity block. Within 48 hours of us playing with this block she was pulling her self up to it with ease- with pillows on all sides of her- in case she fell -of course. She was so proud of herself that she could push the buttons and start the music. She played with the top of the block constantly when for at least a month and a half. Slowly she is discovering the other sides of the block. I think that it will be a great toy for her for at least 6 more months. The Block is a little bit expensive but for us it certainly served its purpose. The batteries lasted about 2 months for us. The only quirky thing that I have to say about this toy is that they should have made a clear cover for the spinning wheel on the top. My daughter kept stopping the wheel with her hand. However we realized that it was "big fun" to put the blocks, balls, a pacifier or anything else that we could find on that spinning wheel to create a merry go round effect. For our family this toy worked great!

My six month old loves this toy - he can pull himself to standing (with our support) and loves to hit the button on the top to make it spin. He loves to watch things spin around on the top, but does tend to stop it with his hand and it makes this awful grinding noise.
The best part is that this toy will grow with your kids - my friend's 18 month old adores this toy - he even talks about it. :) It kept him occupied for at least an hour one evening - and not many things keep an 18-month-old busy for that long. My only complaint is that it is hard to explain to a young child that they have to put the block on the top a certain way for it to say what is in the block.

I bought this for my Daughter when she was 6 months old, that was three months ago. She absolutely loves it still. She perfected standing up using this block. Her first steps have been form this block to me.
She has been mainly interested in the top and learned how to make it play by playing with the little buttons the special blocks press. She even found one that didn't match a block and got it to say 'Lamb' once Update: She is 2 now. This thing is still in her room. She still plays with it. Its become a house for little stuffed animals, a play slide for little people animals, a mini dance studio and a late night light show. She eventually figured out all the sides of the block and discovered new uses for all of them. I'm hoping she'll really have outgrown it when it's time to pass it on to her little cousin who will be born in a few months. This is the only toy purchased before 9 months that she still plays with. The imaginative play it encourages as she 'shows' her little stuffed animals how to make it work was never advertised on the box. This is a real winner. And those batteries last a LONG time, I don't remeber the last time I had to change them As she has gotten more hand eye coordination, not the other sides are starting to interest her more and more. I don't see her outgrowing this toy anytime soon and it is a wonderful toy to encourage play together. As some reviewers have said the sound when they stop the turntable is annoying, but my daughter loves doing that soo much her shreiks of joy cover up the noise anyways.

We purchased this toy for our daughter when she was 8 months old and we have had it for about 4 months now. She loves it. This toy gets used every day, many times a day. She loves to take the blocks in and out of the storage bin and she is now able to drop them in the sorter and use the button to release them. It has been fun watching her develope new skills using this toy. I agree with other reviews that the side with the mirror does not add much value and it is a rather loud toy. But overall, this has been a great purchase!

I rate this as a good toy overall because I have only found one thing with it I don't like...the motor is a little noisey..I had read other reviews on this toy saying the same thing..my daughter just turned 1 on Nov. 22 and she got this for a gift..she loved it from the moment we brought it into her sight..She loves to stand at it and knock the blocks off of it over and over again..she has probably over 50 blocks now and beleive it or not it holds everyone of them....good storage too..they all are in one spot for easy access for her..I give it five stars for fun because I even like getting down and playing with her..Educational value is great too because they learn to stack the blocks good eye hand cordination skills are learned through this...Durability is a five because my daughter loves to climb..she is a bit on the small size in weight but she has been walking and climbing on things since she was 10 1/2 months old and she can't seem to destroy this toy yet...I would buy this for any friend who had a child.

I never write reviews (although I do rely on them when doing my own product research), but decided that this toy deserves the time it takes to write one. My mother purchased this for my now 15-month-old daughter when she was just about 11 1/2 months. She loved it then and still loves to play with it every day. It's versatile, durable (she loves to put her hands on the moving top to stop it), and it provides many different play and learn activities to keep her occupied for long periods of time. The tunes it plays don't annoy adults either! The only problem I have with it is that I can't seem to find additional special Peek-a-Block sets like the ones that it came with in stores or online. I guess FP only manufactures them for this particular toy...
*** Update: My daughter is now over 2 and still enjoys this toy! She's taken more of an interest in the blocks themselves and still loves playing with all of the activites that each side offers. Another great FP toy. So glad that we already have this as we're about to have another baby.

I have a 19 month old and purchased this toy 2 months ago. My son enjoys stacking the blocks and pushing the level so the blocks fall out. He has also added new words to his vocabulary since playing with this toys. I would recommend the toy for pre-toddlers (12-24), who are beginning to pay attention to deals, and can somewhat identify with: what's in the block, what sound does the item in the block make, etc.

This toy is great for 2 reasons:
1) My daughter loves playing with it off and on all day. 2) She has tons of Peek-A-Blocks and they can all be stored in the incrediblock. She can find them when she wants to play with them and they aren't all over my house. :) I recommend this toy, I think it has fun activities that will grow with them.

I love all the peek a blocks toys. We got our first (I mean my daughters first, lol) set from a friend who is a speech therapist. She said that their educational value is tremendous. The eye hand coordination and fine motor skill development practice is invaluable. Both the kids loved the entire toy, all 5 sides. Yes the mirror is just a film, but do you want your kid to play with a real one? I can already see the improvement in my daughters abilities. Now I want the Wagon!

I bought the Incrediblock for my 3rd child's 1st birthday. He had already been walking for a couple of months at that point. Based on how much he plays with it, here is my advice: this is a good toy to purchase for a child who is crawling and starting to pull to a stand. If your child is already walking, it's not worth paying full price. If you can get it at a substantial discount (maybe $35 or less), and don't mind that it is pretty large, I would also recommend it, but otherwise I'd say skip this and get something else.
