I purchased Creatrix Safari and 4 other Creatrix during the 50% clearance sale at Toys R Us. I was a little weary that they might not be good because they were 50% off, but I was pleasantly surprised. I have 3 boys, 2 1/2 year old twins and a 4 1/2 year old. All 3 boys love playing with them. I personally found the story a little lacking substance; they're very short stories that rhyme. I would prefer to call them a poems rather than stories. My 4 year old doesn't care about these books at all, but loves making all the different animal combinations and looked at the book only once to see how to put the animals together. My 2 1/2 year olds play with the toys a lot, although they can't really assemble the animals well yet. The storage case for the book is a cute idea and it latches well, so I hope not to loose any of the peices! I wish Fisher Price had included more pictures to show the kids how to build the different animal combinations when using multiple sets, but I guess that would inhibit the creativity aspect. Overall, great toy for the price I purchased it for. I spent $7.99 for this set, but I'm not sure it's worth $15.00 unless your child loves animals or enjoys building/ putting together things.

My grandchild had fun with the pieces, but there wasn't much of a story in the book

I purchased this for my daughter's 4th birthday and she loves it! You can switch the animals around in many different ways, even my 8 yr old has fun with it. I'm definitely considering getting the other sets. I love how it comes with a case to put all the parts in, makes for easy clean up!

Got this toy for my 3 year old's birthday.. she had a ball creating different funny creatures.. My 5 and 8 year old also got into the fun.. the older girls can read the book, which made it that much more fun.. my husband and I even got into playing with it when we were cleaning up after the kids went to bed.. overall, this is a great toy for the whole family! Would highly recomend it.. it is one of the best toys they have come out with in a while.

We just bought this toy for our 2.5 year old son because he is started to use his imagination more and more. It's a very cute idea to help kids be creative and use their imagination. You can build the characters in the book or make up your own. And the more sets you buy, the more creatures you can make. It also comes with it's own storage case that resembles a big book, so you just put it on the shelf when you are done. Except my son never wants me to put it away because he enjoys playing with the animals so much. Great idea from FP.
