I bought this when my daughter was 7 months old, and she was immediately fascinated. At 9 1/2 months, she still loves it! My only concern is that it is a fairly heavy toy overall and the tambourine is quite heavy and hard. She has never hit herself or anyone else with the toy or its detachable instruments, but I do watch her closely because of this concern. Overall, I think this is a great toy; fun and musical but not too loud or annoying.

Disappointed with this one. It's a hybrid of sorts: it tries to be a song maker, a piano, and a stacker all in one. Unfortunately for small children, it's too bulky to really stack, and the drum and tambourine are too difficult to remove. The piano plays pre-set songs, or tracks of songs, rather than notes, so children have to listen thru before they engage again. Would have preferred individual sounds as (at least) an option. Because of the way the sound settings work, and the ease in which the cymbal can activate, ours essentially plays one song over and over again. We were definitely hoping for more, although it's not without its charms at times.

My daughter got this for her 1st birthday, and now seven months later, it's still one of her favorite toys! She loves all the action, the play cymbal, the little drum pad, the tambourine...my only negative comments is that it's a little bulky for storage, takes up lots of room in the toy box. I have to say I like the nice mix of music, slightly different from the usually childrens toy music, not nearly as annoying!

We bought this toy for my son when he was 7 months old. He is now 13 months, and he still loves it! The jazzy music is lively, upbeat, and enjoyable for both mom and baby. My son loves to take the instruments off the base and then put them back. This toy is not at all expensive for the endless amount of enjoyment that it provides.

My mom got this toy for my nieces and they both loved it. The oldest is now 12 and the youngest 5, so it lasted quite a few years and many stays at Nanny's house and was ALWAYS a favorite. Their baby brother is starting to crawl now, and he likes it too. Unfortunately after many many years, it is wearing out, so I am buying a new one, and hope it will last through when I have children.

I got this for my daughter at 7 months. She like it, she enjoys things that light up and make noise. It is a bit heavy though. The peices are heavy and a bit bulky. You child can get hurt with any hard plastic toy while banging it, but this one seems a bit more riskier due to its size. I am not worried about them braking they are made pretty well. I haven't had any problems with the shorting out though like other reviewers have said. This won't be a toy that she is left to play with by herself. I didn't hear about a recall on it, has someone else?

I gave this to my 10 month old grandaughter, she loved it! When she hit the piano keys, she started bouncing to the beat! All of the instruments, come off from the center post, and can be "played" seperate, then stacked up again for storage. She really enjoys it, and it appears to be well built like most Fisher Price toys are. I'm glade I took a chance and bought this with out ever seeing it in a store before. We purchased this toy for our infant son...it has been great watching him grow with this toy. He loves it and now at 8 months is playing with it all the time. As he has gotten older he has been able to play with the individual items..unstacking them. It has wonderful lights and music (not annoying). DH thinks it is a great toy as well...which is saying something I think. Great adaptation to a stacking toy!

my daughter loves music so I got her this toy. It really helped her as she was learning to sit up at 5/6 months because she could hold on to it while she chewed the toy. She loved the lights and the fun music and now at 8 months loves taking it apart and chewing on the instruments and shaking the tamborine and drum. The music is nice too, not your typical annoying baby songs, though she loves the symbol, so we hear "John Jacob Jinglehimerschidt" alot. It's a very cute toy and one her daddy and I enjoy with her.

My son recieved this toy from my parents last month for his one year birthday. After practising with his Fisher Price colored rings that stack he knew exactly how to use this toy. My mother was so surprised! My son loved this added songs and lights with this one though! I have no fear of anything with this toy, and he loves it.
