Liked it once I covered the speaker with tape!,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Go Diego Go My Talking Rescue Pack (Toy)
My son received this as a gift for becoming a big brother. It was pretty annoying at first, while having a newborn in the house. But my sister gave me a tip that I'd like to pass along. If you cover the speaker with tape (I used regular scotch but did a double layer) it makes the volume much lower and acceptable. Now I don't care how many times he pushes the button. He doesn't really play with the items inside much but seems to like the pack. It was hard for him to open at first (2 1/2 yrs old) but now he has no problem at age 3.

A Good Enough Toy,

First, the $30 is it listed for is not worth it! I know I paid a lot less than this when I purchased it from Amazon when it first came out.My 2 1/2 year old (3 now) enjoyed playing with this when he first got it. It is nicely made and comes with a baby jaguar, a cast for the jaguar's foot, a plastic xray and stethascope. My son never plays with any of these things. He uses the backpack to carry around his own little "treasures". The volume is a bit loud, but it's not that often that he presses for it to talk. He did have it talk and sing all the time when he initially got it. The novelty of a talking backpack wore off and he uses it primarily as a little tote. Most toys like these will provide short term entertainment and my son will always go back to the trusty hot wheels cars and playdoh. For the price I paid for it, it was worth it to see how excited he was to get Diego's backpack. Plus, it sparked some imaginitive play which I enjoy seeing him do. For the price they're asking for it now($30)...I would have to say that I probably wouldn't purchase it.

TOO LOUD! If it had a volume control or something it would be VERY nice. I find myself covering the volume with my hand half the time. Also, the toys it comes with aren't very interactive (ie: hard plastic, not posable) except for stethascope. Otherwise it's a pretty nice toy. Maybe a bit pricey considering it doesn't do much except contain some plastic toys and play some music, but it is a brand name so I guess that explains it! Otherwise the owner likes it very much, however he likes a cheaper and quieter toy (Mr. Potato Head 3 Friends Set) he got at the same time much, much more!

Great for diego fans!,

I recently bought this for my 3 year old daughter. She LOVES it! The only problem I have with it is it is a little loud. Of course she isn't bothered by it. It says a few phrases and sings the rescue pack song from Go Diego Go. The pieces that come with it are adorable. It has the cutest baby Jaguar and you can put a tiny plastic bandage on his foot. Really cute. I felt it was resonably priced at [...].

I bought this for my 3 year old daughter. She loves pretending to be an animal rescuer and caring for animals, this really gets her imagination going. It comes with a small Tapier and a fact sheet which adds some additional educational value, although she is a little young to benefit yet. It is really sturdy and well made. The only downside is that the lid is tricky to open. My daughter has poor fine motor skills so I have to open it for her and sometimes it's a little tricky for me!

I bought this for my son & he loves the talking backpack but he doesn't really play with the jaguar or anything else, maybe because he likes the music... I think the price for this toy is a little much though.

My son recieved the talking rescue pack for his 2nd birthday along with other toys and it was by far his favorite. He is a big fan of go diego go. The rescue pack says a few phrases and sings the song "rescue pack, going to the rescue". The only thing that I would liked different was the stethascope to listen to baby jaguars heart. It was very cheap and did not stay on my sons ears. The part you use to listen to the heart is stiff so you cannot move it around. It could have been nicer like the ones that come in the little tykes doctor kit.

cute but doesn't always work,

My son likes his rescue pack although it stops working for a few hours at a time. Also, it requires batteries that look like they would fit in a watch (not AA like this website lists).

My son really likes this toy, but he can't open it on his own yet. The clasp could be more kid friendly. He's 2 1/2. Also... he has asked me several times if I can help him put it on his back. The thing has no straps which is a real bummer. It's kind of loud, but so far hasn't bothered me. He loves feeding baby jaguar his food. Anyway, he seems to like it, so I guess that's all that matters :D
