5.0 out of 5 stars Kid's love it!
My kids all love to play with this dollhouse. I bought it for my daughter who just turned 2. My 4-yr old son also loves to play with his "guys" in and around the house. My only issue is that it has been hard to locate the accessories for the house (the people and some of the furniture).

1.0 out of 5 stars This needs to come with a mortgage
Sure it looks great! Now imagine it totally empty with Dora sitting around lonely on a couch because that's what it comes with.(Ok she gets a lamp too) Now imagine all the part time jobs Dora will have to work to afford the furniture and friends to go in the house. I believe it averages around $25 a room. We made the mistake of not checking before we got the house...

I believe it averages around $25 a room. We made the mistake of not checking before we got the house. Don't make the same mistake we did. I am very disappointed in fisher-price for what I would call a scam. I'm generally very happy with their products, but this is a rip-off. Heck, they should give away the house just to get people to buy all the accessories.

1.0 out of 5 stars Fisherprice just lost a client., December 25, 2008

I consider myself a great Fisherprice's customer. 2 months ago I bought Dora's kitchen for my 3yo girl for $99.00 - it's a big talking kitchen, with pans, telephone. A great toy. I didn't think twice when she asked me for the Dora's Dollhouse. It cost me $99.00 too, so I thought... wow.. it must be complete.

I almost cried when I saw the expression on my daughter's face this Christmas morning, when she was looking for the the rest of the things that clearly shows up on the BOX but it's not included on the house.

I felt like ROBBED. $99 for a chinese plastic house? come on. Fisherprice just lost a great customer.

I am really disapointed... I saw that other victms felt the same way... I just wanted also to document my deception. They should at least MAKE CLEAR on the box that the house comes EMPTY.

90 bucks gets you an empty house. Only 3 outlets(aka hotspots)- so if you buy all the accessories for each room(like I did) - you won't have anywhere to plug in the furniture-very disappointing. My 4 & 6 year old are enjoying the dollhouse.

1.0 out of 5 stars I too fell for the scam!!!, January 12, 2009

I am extremely dissappointed. I didn't realize that it didn't come with anything but fortunately I was told by someone else who had been contemplating it for my daughter. I went out and bought a whole bunch of the accessories seperately even though I was dissapointed but I thought oh what the heck! It is Christmas and my two year old loves Dora.

Wow...what a bummer when we opened it together on Christmas morning and learned that there are only three hotspots. Like the others, I thought that was crap considering that is the big fancy feature of this house. Also, I too think the lack of walls is a huge pain and the furniture is a mess.

Then it has that 90 degree angle feature where you can set these locks in the back to keep each section of the house positioned just so. I read the directions on how to engage the locks but they keep coming undone and the dumb house folds back shut again all on its own. Add to this that my daughter is trying to play with it on a hard surface such as an activity table and it is like it is on wheels or something. It slides along the surface.

Only two weeks later and she is clearly disinterested in it. I am beyond dissappointed and would not recommend this toy to any one else. I am embarrassed to admit it but I fell for the packaging and the fact that it was Dora and she loves Dora so much.

This is ridiculous, the manufacturer has the gall to show a house with characters and furniture on the box but when my 4 year old opens it on Christmas morning there is only one character a couch and a lamp; while her sisters received a Hannah house and a Barbie house that came fully stocked for a similar price. I can not recommend this house and urge you to boycott it.

I purchased for my daughter christmas cost 90.00 and then too find out NO FURNITURE or CHARACTERS except dora and a lamp comes with set. So your just getting an empty house for 90.00 . Then to find all the furniture and characters are a nighmare and extremely costly. I am up 225.00 and don't even have the full set. Total rip off. Also sells all rooms with hot spot furniture that there is no where to be plugged in so why sell the other rooms with these pieces because my daughter keeps looking to plug in. There are only 3 hot spots throughout the house to plug in an item. Such a rip off. I called fisher price and the custumer service basically laughed at my complaint. Also what is with the sellers on amazon getting away with selling 1 room of furniture for 98.00 come on how can this be allowed. The furniture cost 9.99 in toysrus when they have them. DON"T GET SUCKED IN AND PAY MORE PEOPLE!!!! THE CHARACTERS ARE 6.99-7.99 in stores. BETTER YET SPEND YOUR MOINEY ON SOMETHING BETTER, a waste of hard working money to be thrown away!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars VERY DISAPPOINTING and OVER-PRICED, December 26, 2008

This Dora House was the only thing my 4-year old daughter asked for for Christmas. We felt the price was high even with all the accessories that we thought that it came with...but when we opened it today and saw that it was just an empty plastic shell of a house, we felt it was totally rediculous. My daughter was like "where are all the pieces?" We first thought we must have overlooked all the accessories in the box, but then found out it only comes with 3 pieces. The tv commercial and the box itself are misleading. I agree that it should be very plainly marked on the box that all the accessories are not included. It is very disappointing and not near worth the money.

I think the house is fun but there is only a problem the fixtures that suppose to go in each room and you can plug and hear it, they are missing. In the 8 rooms this house has they are only 3 plugs for the whole thing. The pictures on the box shows every room has a fixture plugged... :o(

This is a cute house and I expect that my granddaughter will have a lot of fun with it, but it is so unacceptable that it is so incomplete! I had read the other reviews and knew to buy furniture and any other dolls ( it comes ONLY with a Dora doll and a couch :( ) but we were further disappointed to find that the two features that are emphasized, the microwave oven and the clock, are not included either! These two are the pieces that make everything else work! It has no lights and no talking capability without those two pieces! The box and the instruction sheet mention them, but it took a call to the company to find out that they are not included. This is sad commentary on a company that professes to be a leader and an advocate for children.
