makes potty training easy,

This review is from: Fisher-Price Ducky Fun 3-in-1 Potty (Baby Product)
My toddler LOVES this potty chair. she actually will stop the flow, and empty the bowl herself, put it back together and sit down and finish just so she can hear the music play again. Doesn't even ask for her stickers after doing the deed, listening to the fun music is reward in itself plus the positive feedback from Mommy.
The chair is sturdy and does not slip on our tile floors (we've packed it up to carry to friends houses), easy to clean and I like the versatility (can take off the ring and place on an adult size toilet, take off the deflector shield and can fold down the back and use as a step stool). My only issues are: 1) that it is easy to clean except for 2 small areas if urine is spilled into the base when removing the bowl -- you need to use a thin towel, toothbrush, q-tip or just rinse and empty to clean. 2)to remove the ring you lift it straight up - which is no problem but at first my toddler wanted to push it up like it was a real hinged toilet seat which impedes the removal of the urine bowl and can result in spills - but only the first few times and now my toddler knows to lift straight off. 3) you need to dry the bowl after each use so that drops don't puddle in the bottom causing the music to go off when it's not in use and so that when it does get used the music will play at the appropriate time.

Great sturdy potty. This is a nice simple, yet cute, potty. My daughter likes it. It is pretty simple and straight forward and doesn't have a whole lot to be distracted by. I do like that it turns into a step stool when she isn't using it. I also like tr fact that the pee gaurd snaps off so my little girl doesn't have to have that in her way. Great cost for product.

Grandson loved it!!,

I purchased this to encourage my grandson....however all it encouraged was for him to play with the potty...I think the cuteness factor is a distraction. Might work with with your little one, but didn't for ours. I gave the product 5 stars because it is great quality, the music was great and it can be used as they grow....its not their fault my grandson didn't use it.

Too small if you have a big toddler,

My son is going to be 2 at the end of November, he's also 90th percentile for height and weight. We thought we'd get him used to the potty and bought this one after seeing all the good reviews. Unfortunately it's a bit small for him, he makes it look like a mini potty! So we're returning it for something bigger.

This is great for potty training! We just got it 2 days ago, and now I know for certain when she has peed/pooped since it sings as soon as she goes. This allows me to give immediate reinforcement when she goes, so she knows why I'm so excited! She likes the music to, but she still keeps looking around trying to figure out where the music is coming from! LOL

Not a good design,
This review is from: Fisher-Price Ducky Fun 3-in-1 Potty (Baby Product)
I have two mini-potties, the Fisher Price froggy and singing ducky. The singing duck potty is much more expensive, is much harder to clean (lots of nooks and crannies everywhere), is annoyingly loud and wakes up the baby, and there are a lot more spills due to the lack of pee guard. The singing is cute, but it scares one of my twin daughters and there is no way to lower the volume unless you turn it off completely. A huge design flaw is that it's supposed to fit on the regular toilet, but you have to raise the ring for this, and even so it slides around making an unstable surface. Isn't the reason we want a smaller potty seat for the big potty so that our toddlers will have a more stable, secure seat on which to sit? Serious design flaw. The only good thing I can say for this chair is that it makes a good stepstool - doesn't slip.
Love the FP froggy potty. The pee guard on the froggy potty is great. I love this low-tech seat as it's easy to clean and hands down my twin daughters' favorite! Highly recommend the froggy potty if you are in the market.

Perfect for younger toddler,

We absolutely love this potty! I bought it because my 21-month-old daughter loves ducks, but hated sitting on the big potty. I thought she might be more motivated to sit on a ducky potty, and she was. I also thought she might like that it sings a song when she goes. Turns out she doesn't really care, but I never thought about how helpful it is for me because I can tell when she's actually gone. Then I can praise her as she's going, which is much more helpful reinforcement than when she finally gets up and I realize she went 5 minutes ago. I also really appreciate that the hole in the seat is smaller. I think that's partly why she prefers this potty to the big potty or her Baby Bjorn Little Potty. Her little bottom doesn't slide right through the opening. In light of that, this probably isn't the best choice for older or larger children. At 26 lbs, this is perfect. It would probably be too small for a 3 or 4-year-old.
I do find the sensors to be quite sensitive. If you don't clean out the potty pretty quickly, it will periodically keep singing until you do. To me, that just means I won't forget to clean it, so it's not a negative. It has occasionally gone off when my daughter hasn't actually gone, and I'm not sure why. Humidity, maybe? It has never gone off when she wasn't sitting on it, though. This isn't a big deal to me either, but it's worth mentioning. Overall, I'm incredibly pleased with this potty. It turned the corner for us in the potty training process.

my son loves it, he can take it apart n put it together. he's a tough, strong boy and carries his potty around the house and sometimes throws it in his fits. i'm sure peeing on it will be nothing compared to how he's treated it.
it fits him well. he even sits on it with his diaper because it's his size. when he realizes that it's a stool...a whole other level will open up.

My daughter likes to point out ducks and quack so I thought this was a cute choice for her. She's 21 months and we're just starting the potty training adventure. She likes sitting on it and has went number 1 a few times. I don't think she's connected the music and her business yet but I'm sure she will soon. I love that it's really easy to clean and that the splash guard is removable, so you have a choice. I took it off but I'm sure it'll be great if I ever have a boy. I put the seat on the toilet to check the fit for using later and it fits fine. I keep the potty in front of the sink and my daughter loves to put the lid down then stand on it to wash her hands. I would definitely recommend this. There are no cons that I can tell.

The Fisher-Price Ducky Fun potty is a great tool to teach your young ones to use the "big girl/boy" potty. Our daughter is 18 months, and she like to emulate mom and dad and use the big girl potty. She will often go into the bathroom and close the door, sit on the ducky potty and "go" in her diaper. The fact that she is going into the bathroom to sit on the potty is encouraging. And the fact that the potty sings to her when she does use the potty with mom or dad when her diaper is off, is the best part. That is the encouragement that we are looking for. She loves this potty. The only reason I rated this a 4 and not a 5 star is because it is a pain to keep the metal contacts dry after she potties and we clean the tray out so the ducky keeps singing along.
