While my son and I were waiting for my husband to make a purchase, I saw this toy and thought my 2 yr. old son might like it since he loves music. Not only did he play with the guitar while it was in the box in the store, he wouldn't let go of it! This is a child, I might add, who is not always that interested in toys so this was a first. Needless to say, we bought the guitar for the holiday, but couldn't wait to give it to him. He LOVES it! It's great for any kid, but I'd like to point out in particular, for parents with special needs children, this is a real plus. It has different buttons to push, and one to pull, and another to move back and forth, so is good for fine motor skills. It is also good cognitively since the child can put together different sounds depending upon which character he/she touches. For a child who enjoys music, it's a real motivator.

This toy is great. We got it for our sons first birthday. There are tons of things to do on it. There is a whammy bar that makes cool sounds, you can strum it,or it will play one of three songs, and you can push the buttons for little notes. It has been a HUGE hit. All of us like it, not just our son. I would HIGHLY recommend this fun toy. Its great for eye-hand cordination.

Hannah loves this toy. It is very durable, as it has been thrown into the toy box and banged around. It includes a volume adjustment which really comes in handy on some days. It plays a couple of different songs and is a very good value for the mony.

I took my 18 month old with me to lay-away toys for Christmas. She picked up the guitar from a bottom shelf and just had a ball. When we went to lay away the toys I had, she was broken hearted when I took it from her to lay-away. Needless to say this toy went home that day.

This is one of the best gifts my kids ever received! This one won't be found buried in the toy box. Everyone in our family loves it, even me and my husband. My one year old got this for her birthday and can play music on it. My three 1/2 year old loves to play with it, too. It plays a few songs when you "strum" along. Elmo talks to you when you push his button. This is the cutest toy!

This was given to my daughter for her first birthday by her uncle. Before her uncle gave it to her for her birthday he almost ran the batteries out playing with it himself. According to his wife she had to take it and hide it from him until they sent it to her. When we received the toy it was fun all around. The girls have to usually get it away from their father. I also from time to time find myself playing with it. This toy gets used daily by someone. If you have kids or kids at heart this is a winner.

This toy is a lot of fun! AND it makes for some really cute photo-ops. My daughter got this toy used when she was one. She's two now, and I still haven't had to change the batteries! She really loves it, it is one of her favorite musical instruments. The buttons light up while the song is playing. There is a whammy bar. When the Elmo button is pushed, Elmo says positive things like "You can do it!" "Jam with Elmo!" or "You're rocking now!" The child can have the whole song automatically play, or he can play it note by note by "strumming" the strings. My FAVORITE thing about this toy is that it has VOLUME CONTROL - so my child can have fun without damaging her hearing or driving me crazy!

We bought two of these for our toddler grandsons and my wife had to play with them first. She drove me nuts! The music bits start out with a promise of a catchy beat, but it doesn't last longer than a second. As soon as another button is pushed, the tune changes (no pun intended). The kids will probably be quite pleased because of the ability to create different sounds, one right on top of the other. Thank God for a volume control!

This toy is a winner. I admit, I bought this toy before my son was born, because my husband is a bass player. But it has ended up being a good buy. The buttons push easily, it plays the sesame street song, spish/splash, etc., either on it's own, by pushing individual buttons, or by strumming. The Elmo voice is encouraging, and the whammy bar is fun, and durable. For the price, this is a fun toy! My son started banging on the buttons at 6 months old, and continues playing with it due to the interaction he gets. I sure it will continue having play value the older he gets, and the more precise his actions are.

This toy has many features. It has four different buttons which each make a noise. You can press elmo and he talks to you. The fader works. Then you rock the round part back and forth to play the music. It plays several songs the only one I can reconginze is the sesame street song. I think I liked this toy better then y son did though. My son is 14 months old. So far he will hit the elmo button to hear elmo talk but that is it, It has a nice speaker and sounds very realistic.
