Lots of fun with Elmo
This toy is a great gift for toddlers! Elmo's theme song plays, you can record a message, and hear the voices of 5 Sesame Street characters. A great buy for birthdays or anytime.

This toy is LOUD
I don't know if all of the toys are like this or what but this toy is SO loud. It allows you to record a message and even if you whisper into the thing its still ear-piercingly loud when you play it back. All of the sounds are too loud and get this- there is no volume adjustment. Other than that I'd say this toy is just "OK". It records your voice and if...

My 1 yr old daughter got this for Christmas and she loves it. She really likes the record button so she can hear Mommy say "Hi Leila call me back". My only complaint is a personal one. I am officially tired of hearing "Hi, It's Abby, Abby Cadabby" She pushes that button over and over and over! Otherwise perfect for little people.

Other than that I'd say this toy is just "OK". It records your voice and if it weren't for the fact that it plays back so loudly that it hurts my ears, I'd think that was kinda cool. Other than that it's just another Elmo toy. Yay.

Good toy, but the recordings you make on it are erased too easily. sometimes i even forget and erase my own that i just recorded for my child. Also the phone get's lost very easily since it is not attached in any kind of way. Other than those 2 things our child love it and it make a large variety of sounds.

I purchased this as a last minute Christmas gift for my 2 year old son. He loves phones in general and Elmo, so I considered this a good combination. He is able to use the "record" function himself and loves making new messages. I will agree with another review that said the sounds get a little irritating to the grown ups after a while, but isn't that true for every noise-making toy on the market?? All in all, great purchase, good price, and my son gets lots of enjoyment out of it.
