My two and a half year old got this for christmas. I liked that it's soft and cuddly in the body. Problem is, it took my less than graceful daughter about 2 secs to bonk herself in the forehead with it. And the the baby (11 months) constantly wacks herself with it by accident. Unlike other "my first" type dolls that are totally soft with no small peices, this has a good sized hard plastic rattle. Take off the rattle and it'd be cute enough. If you have a child who is in anyway accident prone (like most babies and toddlers) I wouldn't really recommend this.

I have to admit, when my mom gave this doll to my daughter mere hours after she was born, I was skeptical of the rather hard attached rattle. It *does* look like it could be accidental weaponry, but nearly a year and half later, my daughter has yet to maim or even bump herself with the rattle.

My mom didn't initially like that the doll's poor little head seemed to be understuffed, but in practical, day-to-day use, my daughter often carries the poor baby doll around by the head, something she couldn't do if the head was more fully stuffed.

The doll's face isn't hard. I mean, it's plastic, not fabric, but I can bend it in half with no difficulty whatsoever.

I have only washed and dried the doll once and it you couldn't even tell that I have, hence the five star rating.

I didn't rate it 5 stars for fun, because it isn't her favorite doll. Educational value - not 5 stars because she is learning body parts, especially facial ones and they aren't all visible on the doll. Minor details, I know.

My 18 month old girl hasn't really gotten into baby dolls. But when I bought this one for her (because I read the reviews) she absolutely loooooves it. She carries it with her and she hugs it and makes goo goo sounds to it. I'm very shocked, but this is a must have for first babies for little girls.

It's true, she won't sleep without it!!! We have had so many because we've lost a few, and we keep a clean one in the drawer.

My daughter has more fun shaking the rattle then she has playing with the actual doll. She's 2 and received this when she was about a year old. She played with it once and hasn't noticed it since.

My Mother-in-law bought this for my daughter when she was very young but every time she played with it she would hit herself in the head with the rattle and cry. Finally I was able to cut the rattle off without ruining the sewing on the hand and now she loves it and gives it kisses. I think that the rattle is way too much for a young baby and very heavy. The baby is cute enough without it.

My daughter is now 22 months and she's had this doll since she was 8 months old. It is soft and huggable. She just loved it the first time she grabbed it. She's had it for over a year, it's been thru the washer and dryer more times than I care to count and still looks great. It's her favorite toy.

I bought this for my 4mo daughter and she adores it! It's two toys in one...a rattle and a doll. She hasn't had any problems playing with it.

This has been my daughters special baby since she was about 8 months old, she is now 3. She cannot sleep without it and treats it like a real baby. I have washed it many times and although it looks loved the stitching has held together nicely.

I bought this doll long before my daughter was born. And just put it in the bed with her,now she never sleeps without it. She loves to just rub the little piece of hair into her face. It is so cute. It is not really educational, but you have the texture of the hair and the softness of the body. This is her absolute favorite doll still and she's now 18 months! I'm going to buy another one for safe keeping. Also this doll has been washed inside a pillowcase and dried many many times and still looks great! Love it!!!
