My 21 month old son likes this fire truck much better than the retired one that fisher price had out. It is easy for him to work. My 3 and 5 year olds even play with it sometimes. If your little one loves trucks this would be a great first fire engine.

We pulled this truck out of the box when my son was 5 months old. I knew when we opened it that it wasn't "recommended" for that young of an age - but we thought we would get it out anyways. We also have a daughter who is 13 months older than him - so I was sure one of them would love it...

Well, both of them absolutely have had a blast playing with this firetruck. First thing of a morning our son (who is now 10 months old) will crawl over to this truck and push the buttons so it will make noises. My daughter loves to make it 'go' - and then my son will take off crawling after it! I really think that this toy is what helped him to start crawling when he was 5 and 1/2 months old!! He will follow this truck anywhere!

We have had it out of the box and running (daily) for almost 5 months now - and it's still working just as great as the first day that we got it out and played with it!!!

My 12 month old loves this truck. It was easy for him to move around. It is also tough enough to withstand the abuse a little boy gives his toys. BUY THIS TOY!!

My twin girls received this fire truck as a gift for Christmas when they were 13 mo. old. They got the biggest kick out of it! They loved the fact that they could make it talk and move and put the people in and out. Now that they are 16 mo. old, they have more imagination and can use it together with some of the other little people sets (such as the fire station). The sounds are good quality, it moves on carpet, and is a wonderful first fire truck. Great product!

My daughter got this firetruck and the dump truck from her nephew and she loves playing with both! She uses the fire ladder to push the truck around the house. Fisher Price knows how to make durable and terrific toys that spark the imagination and last from nephew to niece!

My son received this truck for his 2nd b-day. He has played with it consistently for 1 year now. He loves to play with it as he watches the Little People videos. It's definitely the most played with and longest played with toy. It's the only truck that hasn't had some part of it broken. Highly recommend it for boys who love anything with wheels.

My son got this truck for his first birthday, and while he seemed to like it then, he's loves it now (he's 2 1/2). He just plays with it more and more. It's certainly a toy that will grow with your child and get a lot of use! (And it's held up remarkably well. Just one battery change, and it still looks and sounds like new.)

I had to write this review after I read a previous reviewer who gave this toy 1 star. My advice to that reviewer: READ THE AGE RECOMMENDATION! Don't call and complain to Fisher-Price that your child's hand got pinched when you buy a toy that is for 18 months up for a 14-month-old.

I am always impressed with the durability and imagination-inspiring design of FP Little People toys. You will never be sorry when you purchase them. I still have sets from the 70's when I was a child!

My son just loves this firetruck. He lives near a fire station so I know that the love will continue. I wanted a vehicle that was not too fast or too slow that he could crawl after and this fits the bill perfectly. I read a review that the ladder could pinch fingers. I have kept a close eye on my son using it and so far this has not happened. I will continue to watch out for this and will update if this occurs.

We got this for our son for his 1st birthday... he loves it! I makes fire truck sounds, moves by itself, has flashing lights. It's one of the best Little People toys he has. It's wonderful, because it has an on/off button. Highly recommend.
