My daughter turned 3 this year, so we decided to get this cute Dora bike because she is absolutely in love with the character. The bike is super cute; however the big wheel turns horribly on any ground surface. To practice we allowed her to ride the bike in our fully finished basement with Berber carpet. The big wheel barely turned when she tried to pedal and It had a hard time gripping the carpet. So I said okay, let’s take it to the asphalt street, and to no avail, same issue. The big wheel would not grip the street properly causing my child to think she was not pedaling correctly. This bike is confusing for the 1st time rider. Visually the bike is pleasing to the eyes; however it is not functional at all for my 3 year old. As a result, this bike is a complete waste of money. I really hate to write a bad review, and I try to give every product the benefit of the doubt, but this bike is not functional at all. As a gesture of good will, my neighbor has a 5 year old who has several bikes, and she also could not figure out how to pedal without the wheels sliding. As a result of frustration and several days of a 3 year crying to ride her bike; I purchase a red rider trike and my little one has been a happy camper since. I believe that this product is completely faulty to say the least. But this is just my opinion, hope my review helps a potential buyer think twice before purchasing this product.

Design: Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
We received the Fisher-Price TMNT Lights and Sounds Big Wheel yesterday. My husband, with help from our 18 month old grandson, put it together easily and quickly. Having purchased more than a few Big Wheels in our lifetime, I was impressed with the ease of assembly and the reliable sturdiness they have maintained. The seat has changed a bit and is, in fact the best new feature. It is now possible to position the seat in a more traditional tricycle way, so that a toddler can sit vertically and reach the pedals. WONDERFUL! (Note: you can re-position the seat at any time back to the more recumbent way we expect from a Big Wheel) He LOVES it! Loves the noises and the CB radio. As an adult, I appreciate that the noises are quiet. Really surprisingly quiet! Good job FIsher-Price!

Design: Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja TurtlesVine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
My son enjoys his Fisher-Price Nickelodeon TMNT Lights and Sounds Ride-On, but it doesn't get the mileage that it should. I'm not sure if it is the limited number of sounds it produces, or if it's the fact that last year he received another FP ride-on from his grandparents that is exactly the same frame but modeled after another cartoon (with a different set of limited sounds), or if it's the fact that the hard plastic tires don't spin properly on hard-top, but he just doesn't get enthused about using it the way we used to get enthused about Big Wheels when we were kids.

The set-up is fairly easy and the directions well-written. The stickers all went on to the bike nicely enough. The product is fairly solidly crafted; one axel in the back with a couple of whacks with a mallet, one pedal set-up in the front with a y-fork straight up through the steering assembly, and a nicely adjustable seat. These things are all good.

The drive tire slipping on pavement is just silly. My son sits there, literally spinning his wheel until a semblance of traction occurs. What were Big Wheel wheels made of? They were awesome, says my childhood memories. But somewhere the magic of the Big Wheel is lost on this product as well as several of the others we've used. And that's something I can't easily put into words.

For $60ish, I don't expect all that magic, but I do expect more interest-grabbing power. It just doesn't happen here.

So terribly disappointed. We purchased this bike for my son's 2nd birthday last year. We have had the bike for one year and now the wheels have started to fall off. My son is almost 3 he is an average sized 3 year old and is in no way rough with the bike. We have had it for almost a year, but it has not been used consistently during that time because of the winter. So it was really only used a couple of months and the weather has started to get nicer and he went to use it and the wheels fell off. My husband tried to put it back on but as soon as my son started to ride again they fell off. I was hoping this bike would last more then a year I wasn't expecting it to last forever, but at least two seasons would have been nice. If you are looking for something to last more then a year then I would say skip this one.

I got this Fisher-Price Nickelodeon Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Trike for my 4 yr. old grandson to play with when he comes over my house. My 21 yr. old son put it together in less then 20 minutes. My grandson's whole face lit up when he saw this.
I love the fact that the seat is adjustable, so as he grows, he will be able to adjust it comfortably. The lights are very cool, and the sounds are pretty quiet, so I am very thankful for that. He has only used it a few times so far, and he is a very tough little guy. I swear I think he can break anything, but this trike has been holding up pretty well.
So I would definitely say it is durable.

My husband was able to put it together in 20 minutes with a mallet and a screwdriver. Only one leftover part that we can't figure out what to do with. My 2-year-old absolutely loves it.

I do not often write reviews about my kid's toys, but I have purchased a number of big wheels over the years only to have them fall apart extremely quickly. I thought I would write a review to help other people that have been in the same situation. This is really a hybrid trike big wheel, which is great to help kids with balance for when it comes to try out training wheels.

FP states this is for children 3 plus years, my daughter just turned three and is growing into this trike. Up until this past week, her feet did not reach the pedals and she was happy to walk her feet around and scoot with her brother. This bike has taken a bit of a beating and still held up, my kids have jumped on, kicked and used for other unintended purposes ad nothing has broken off (including pedals.) What I love about the sounds on the bike is the activation is under the handle bars, and have to actively be engaged unlike other toys that are extremely easily triggered. My daughter has had this for a few months, and we have not had to change the batteries despite almost daily use. The assembly that is required is extremely manageable-I assembled it on my own in maybe 30 minutes.

I give this a four instead of a 5 star review because I feel the front tire could use some rubber instead of just plastic so it works slightly better on concrete. The seat does adjust, but not much (less than an inch or so).

Its a good looking bike. We decided to get this for our sons 2nd Birthday. Something that he could grow into. He was very excited to get it..... Buuuut we are quite Disappointed in it. My son isnt a pro with the pedals yet so, he tends to push around with his feet on the ground. The first time he did this his ankles were cut Deep by the plastic near the wheels :(... After that he was scared to get on it for alitte while. AWesome Birthday suprise right :(.. We end up putting several layers of duct tape on the plastic so it wouldnt cut him again..... After having it for 3 weeks the walkie talkie/radio died. It has been 3 months now the duct tape has held up and nothing else on the bike has broken . He doesnt get on it has much because the walkie is dead. All and all it looks good.

Overall this is a nice toy. I was looking specifically for a batman "bike" which is why I chose this one. Putting if together was fairly straightforward. I like the adjustable seat and sounds. The only thing I really don't like about it is the wheels. When my son tries to ride uphill (even a very mild slant), the wheels often spin. They need more traction which I difficult to get with plastic. My son loves this, but does get frustrated when attempting any surface that isn't flat.

Great trike for a little girl! I love how you can adjust the hight of the seat for leg length. The trike has held up, but the cover for the top tray keeps falling off. This is not a big deal for me or my little girl. The trike does come with a lot of stickers, so have a patient person put it together.
