My two year old received this for her birthday. She has always been really afraid of the doctor, so we thought this might help. He is the most adorable Elmo I have seen thus far- and believe me- we own quite a few. In contrast to a previous reviewer, I found him extremely sensitive. My daughter has no problem interacting with him. You can't just wipe his nose- he says to BLOW it. This is a great way to teach your child how to properly blow their nose. Elmo came to the doctor with us for her 2yr old check up and it really helped. She was able to listen to Elmo's heartbeat while the doctor listened to hers. She seemed alot more at ease and less afraid. At least this Elmo has teaching ability unlike some of the dancing ones! A must for little Elmo fans!

This toy is a HUGE hit in our house. My daughter received it as a gift for her 2nd birthday. My husband and I have as much fun with it as she does. She plays with it for 20 min straight. Made her 2 yr check up a snap! I would recommend this for all pediatrician offices..Enjoy!

My daughter received this for her second birthday. We love it. It is a little sesitive to the touch, but not too bad. He comes with a stethoscope and thermometer. He also has a tissue attached to his hand so you can help him blow his nose. The first thing my daughter did with it was take the stethoscope and listen to her chest just like the doctor does. Ours has a band aid on the top of his foot that Elmo will ask for you to check it and make sure it is ok. Very fun. I think this is great for your little one.

this was a major hit for my little girl's second birthday. my mom got a set - the potty elmo and this one. she loves both. they are very funny! She takes them everywhere with her. she calls them elmo twins. it just has a few phrases - so of course they get a bit repetitive / annoying but hey- its elmo, you gotta love that furry red soft cuddly guy :) the kids do anyway so its worth every penny and minute of annoyance :)

If your kid likes Elmo they will love this toy. My son got this for Christmas when he was 21 months old and it still one of his favorite toys 3 months later. Typically, I switch out his toys because he has a lot of them and our house is sort of small. But, our little buddy can't bare to be away from this toy for any amount of time. He enjoys doctoring Elmo and following the directions Elmo gives. I also think that this toy is an excellent teaching tool. By playing doctor with him and this toy he has become more relaxed about going to the doctor's office. He was very sick this past week and was not happy about his many trips to the pediatrician but when I told him we were going to play doctor like we do with Elmo, he lit up and felt more in control. The doctor let him use the stethascope just like he does with Elmo. Then the doctor took a turn with it. We also think the little song Elmo sings is so cute! We couldn't be happier with it.

I purchased this doll along with the Elmo visits the Doctor DVD. After watching the DVD, my daughter behaves much better at the doctor's. She no longer seems afraid of the doctor. We bring the Elmo doll along and it entertains her the whole time we are there. I recommed both items to anyone with a toddler who is afraid to go to the doctor

My son got this Elmo for his birthday and he absolutely loves him, my husband and I are both nurses, so of course we liked it. I'd give it 5 stars if I knew what it was saying... there is a part where he says, "Elmo has a booboo on his foot..." and you check it, then Elmo says, "Thank you... Elmo's much better... no more booboo from Elmo's ________???????" What the heck is Elmo saying? Anyone know?

This wonderful Elmo, along with the DVD Elmo Visits the Doctor, have been such a powerful tool at making doctor visits easier. We are also at the stage where my daughter is OBSESSED with boo boos - so she was very excited to see that Elmo had a bandage on. Wish there were more things to do with this Elmo, but my daughter is just tickled with him. Any Elmo fan will just adore him!

I have so many Elmos: Dress-up, Check-up, Chicken Dance, Hokey Pokey...to name a few. And none of them have failed us through two kids and countless hours. Each of them have "flown" and been through many turns with friends and are working great.
Like Dress-up Elmo, this one has a catchy song and teaches body parts. It's great fun.
