Fisher-Price Flutterbye Dreams Swing

We recieved this as a shower gift- and we feel pretty lucky. The colorful toy bar holds a certain level of attraction for our son, but so does the white cap at the top. When he gets too stimulated by the toys, my son turns his head and watched the stationary end cap.

The toy bar is on a swivel and swings over the top to rest against the back of the seat. This design allows mama and papa to retrieve the baby easily. As a c-section mama, I greatly appreciate this because there is a lot less strain in lifting my son out of the seat.

The assembly was pretty straight forward and done in about 20 minutes. I read the instructions and dad assembled. The instructions may actually be the best we had with any of our baby items, we understood each picture and every word in each complete sentence made sense. The instructions were obviously not translations but were written in English.

The swing is thankfully quiet when the lights and music are off. However, when the bird sounds are on - eww - the noise could be birds or squeaky doors. We stick mostly to the classical music, which is similar in sound to the "baby einstein" classical cd's. The music redeems the fake nature sounds.

Luke reccomends the swing as a quiet operater, with great colors, and the easy exit swing away toy bar.

This swing is awesome! We put the swing together when my son was a week old and he loved it. He went through a period when he didn't enjoy it as much and then went back to loving it. I love that the music/light bar can be put behind the swing. Killian doesn't really enjoy that for extended periods of time, so we rarely use it. It works great at calming him down if he is upset, when nothing else works. Also, if he is having a hard time falling asleep, we put him in until he falls asleep and then move him to his crib.

*I love that if folds, so if you don't have a lot of space you can fold it and get it out of the way.

*I just changed the swing batteries yesterday for the first time, and we've been using it for 12 weeks.

*The chair padding is great, nice and thick and colorful.

*The music bar is very colorful. And I just figured out, that as baby gets older, if you pull on the butterflies, it makes different noises.

Someone else had noted that her son would turn his head to the side and stare at the white area on the swing stand, my son does the same thing. It must be calming.

This is a great investment!

I love this swing. The music is mellow and has 2 volumes to choose from. It is not too stimulating which is great if you are using it to calm a cranky baby. The pattern is bright and cheery. I have been putting my son in it since he was 2 weeks old and never had a problem. I would highly recommend this swing to anyone.

We bought this swing before I had my baby and we put her on it when she was 3 days old,but it would swing her so fast we did not use it for the longest. She is now 3 months old and doesn't really like it yet, she doesn't mind sitting in it for a little bit, but when she is on it for a while she starts to fuss. Something about the bird she does not like. She cries everytime she sees it, so we always turn his face away. She loves looking at the lights, but espcially loves watching the left bar with all of the different colors. Over all, its a pretty neat swing. I would of prefer the Aquariam Fisher Price though.

I had a different swing picked out then I saw this one and all it's bright colors and had to get it. From the first time I put my daughter in it just days from bringing her home till now shes 3 months she's loved it . All the lights and music it keeps her attention for the longest time and at night you'll find babies wont sleep in their cribs all night she sleeps atleast half the night in this lettin mommy get some zzz's . The only thing i found is you go through batteries alot but we solved that with getting some rechargable d's found at targets or radio shack

This is a great product! I actually registered for a different swing, but that one was sold out, and the giver replaced it with this swing. I am SO glad that they did, because my daughter LOVES this swing. The little bugs and butterflies are so cute, and she loves to watch the lights and the bird sway with the music. Definitely a mommy must-have!

This is a great swing! My daughter is 5 months old and loves to watch the birdie swing and grabs at the hanging toys. Often times, I leave the toy bar turned off and just let her watch the hanging toys and she's happy with that. I thought the toy bar with all the lights and sounds could be overstimulating for a newborn and now I leave it off sometimes to save batteries. It's great that the birdie moves without the use of batteries. The padding is so soft and she is really comfortable in it. We'll definitely keep it in the living room until she gets too big for it!

At first my little boy didn't adjust to the swing. After going online and doing some research, I found out a way that he'll actually get used to the swing. I read that you have to swaddle (i use a sack-blanket) the baby tightly and put the swing on the highest speed.

My baby was 3.5 months when we purchased this swing. He is now 4 months and he falls asleep in it, with his "blanky" and as long as he's cozy in his sack (wearable blanket). I put baby Mozart and he falls asleep instantly. This is truly a miracle worker. I would recommend this awesome swing to anyone.

Also, the batteries last for a very descent amount of time. We've only purchased batteries twice in the month and a half that's passed. That's pretty good if you'd ask me.

i love this item and my son does as well, he loves looking at the bird swinging and the lights that come on during the songs he is totally mesmerized, he loves to fall asleep in it for naptime.

My friend received this swing as a gift from her baby shower. When I would go and visit her and my baby would begin to cry and nothing would soothe her, she suggested I put her in the swing. Like a miracle, she would stop crying and fall asleep! We both agreed I had to get one. This swing is amazing and is very neat. I think her grandfather and I enjoy it (the toy bar mainly) more than the baby!!! The swing does so many convenient things and is really cool. It is a life saver for a fussy baby too. I recommend this swing to all new moms.
